  1. Rob I bought a complete golf works assembly kit with swing weight scale and everything a while back. Have not even opened it. Pm me if interested I just don't think I'll ever get into my own building.
  2. I haven't hit it. Tario did a review in the main forum. He really liked it
  3. My Yururi wedges are a sheer joy to hit. There have to be some balls at the range with flat spots on them from when I was hitting them the other day. They'll peel a range ball like a potato. I'd love to try the irons sometime. I wanted a set pretty bad but sometimes the voice of reason speaks and reminds me I'm not good enough to play those when it counts.
  4. I was underwhelmed with the ease of use of the H4 long irons. If I'm gonna look at something like that it better be so easy to hit to be worth it. To me, the H4 was only a modest improvement in playability. I'd have just as soon had dedicated stand alone utilities because they'd be easier. Of course if a fancy custom combo set is ultimately the goal then yes the incremental improvement in playability would be valuable.
  5. Don't be shy guys
  6. My cousin has chrome mp-33s with dg s-300. I've hit them a handful of times, and although it isn't exactly the most scientific of testing, I think the 64s and 69s were much easier to hit.
  7. Probably a muscleback moreso than a true blade. I think one of the reasons an onoff feels so soft is the dense tungsten sole. But yeah in traditional type clubs a muscleback should exhibit the purest feel
  8. I was surprised how much I liked the 69s and 64s...I used to be a big Mizuno fan prior to my immersion in JDM. Hit the 69s early Dec, then hit them both extensively a month or so ago and was looking at getting a Yoro set of 69s but ended up with 2013 Onoffs instead. Some of the custom sets are incredible.
  9. Generally speaking it will be the iron with the most mass behind the sweet spot. There is also the mental aspect, for some people I believe the pureness of the feel is directly related to the iron's difficulty of actually hitting it pure. :)
  10. Lol I must be screwed up because I prefer the 69 feel. 64 a shade easier to play though.
  11. Does anyone know if Sasaya-San can do a renegar style concave sole on these?
  12. Crazy black tour 75 SX
  13. Man those are nice. I almost bought a set but decided they were above my ability level. :)
  14. I'm a little confused as to the goal. Traditional high CG blades had traditional lofts to create a certain ball flight per iron. As technology has improved and CG made lower to improve launch and forgiveness, lofts were made stronger to keep the same launch height and shape per iron, but with the added result of more distance for the average player. If you're trying to so a traditional thing and let the designed CG and loft work as it was intended, I'd use a more traditional profile shaft. If you're trying to adjust the original tendencies of the head to better suit modern day expectations, then I'd go with a more low kick/high launch distance shaft which will more or less swap places with the low CG/low lofted combos we see today. You've got high CG and high loft head with a low kick high launch shaft, rather than a low CG low loft head with a mid launch shaft.
  15. whats the specs on that bad boy
  16. I actually wrapped one in bubble wrap and tape with cardboard to protect the ends and they didn't say a word. Driver shaft
  17. Ask baddmnkey his are 2* strong and he's a divot taker. Mine are 2* strong but I am more of a picker so I'm not much help.
  18. Like I said...they'll reward the people who didn't buy the original "limited" edition with something new and improved.
  19. I don't buy something because it is limited either. I buy it for looks and performance. Yet if I pay the requisite premium for a limited model it's complete BS if they start making them again. Not only does it make early adopters feel like chumps, it also rewards the people who waited with a "new and improved" model. Guess we'll see.
  20. Ditto. If Epon makes or find more Personals, I won't be a happy camper. And I'll gladly let them know about it. Very poor practice.
  21. I really want one...just haven't pulled the trigger. The KPX is everything I want a driver to be but I am intrigued by this thing because it is quite different than most new drivers out there. I just bought recoils so I should probably wait at least a week-10 days to purchase something else. Makes it feel more spread out and I don't get guilty. Would love to have this thing with a Crazy 80LS II 8.2 @ 45.25"
  22. If flushed shots don't feel amazing with personals it is definitely the shaft. I know you swing at like Mach 1.3 but a c-taper x is a stout SOB. Chiro likes them I know but it is one shaft I will never put in a set of irons I ever buy again. I swing a 6 89-92 and had the S flex and they were very demanding. Like turn a modest GI iron into a blade demanding because the particular mechanism of my swing wouldn't load the club sufficiently even at my SS. In December I went to a comprehensive shaft fitting in which I allowed the fitter to select shafts for me based on my swing and the monitor results. I made a concerted effort not to peek at the shaft before swinging it because I didn't want to be prejudiced towards any of the offerings. The c taper was the only one I hit a few balls with, turned to fitter and said "get this thing outta here!" Even on pure strikes the feel at impact just wasn't on par with the other shafts I was hitting. Even pX. Ultimately the 2 shafts that were the best combination of numbers and desired feel ended up being the Aerotech 95 and 110, we opted for 110s because of a lowered ball flight relative to 95s. I understand I'm just one person, but I feel fairly confident that many people who hit the c taper next to other shafts in the same head would get similar results to mine. The height you're getting is the head, not the shaft. From my experience owning Miuras with c tapers the only shots that really feel good are steep shots that really compress the ball into the turf. I'm a bit of a picker and for me it was simply a bad combination because even on "good" picked iron strikes I'd get a telltale vibration telling me I got it a groove low. I'm not a good enough striker to want to feel a difference between flushed and a groove low...both are just fine with me!!! I know Chiro likes the no-nonsense feedback from the c tapers so if you're into revealing the slightest of mistakes in your striking, these shafts will do just that and will likely make you a better striker in the process. Personally I want my $2000+ set of irons to feel great on any impact on or immediately adjacent to the sweet spot. :) To each his own...
