Romaro Ray FW users input wanted
Idk you see lots of companies with a Tour branded 3W and no matching 5W. Perhaps they didn't feel a matching 5W would appeal to many people. Most people don't even play a 5W anymore.

They're quite forgiving because of the cup face. Toe shots with the Tour Select are seemingly as good as center strikes. Feel is solid and dense and very very good. I don't find it hard to hit but the 14* loft with a stout shaft would be hard for average SS to elevate. The Ray 15 should be somewhat easier. I sold my 14 and bought a used 15 because the 14 doesn't gap out right for me and I want a softer landing flight. So I'm backing down in loft and stiffness of shaft. I am a huge believer in the RomaRo woods. I will have the pro forged I ordered from TSG built and in my hands Friday afternoon and I'm super anxious to give them a shot.

RomaRo 460HX
We had been waiting on them for a couple holes and we were putting on a par 3 and they said they were letting us play through, we said thank you we are in a hurry and we appreciated it. No one was ahead of them or behind us on this muni dogtrack, but they teed off anyways on that par 4 and rolled down the fairway in their cart right as we were getting in our cart instead of letting us tee off with them. Earlier in the round they played into our fairway from another fairway while we were about to hit our second shots, and we sat there forever while they hit it 20 yards at a pop down our fairway. I'm not saying what we did was right but people should have an idea what they are doing on the course before they go out and slow the pace of play, disregard all etiquette, etc. We teed off on the same hole after they did and cut across the dog leg instead of hitting towards them. If I thought there was any legitimate risk of injury or a problem it never would have happened. I didn't explain this as clearly as I should have earlier. That's fine if you want to be a hardass about it but I don't think you are grasping their lack of etiquette, the type of rinky dink course we were playing, what we did, and how bad these guys really were. It's ok to be bad and to go out and learn but you need to get the hell out of the way when you're carding 140 and guys are waiting on you every hole and no one is in front of you. What we did was simply poor etiquette in response to poor etiquette and posed no more safety risk than teeing off down your fairway with players in the adjoining fairway, probably less. That is why they weren't upset in the slightest when we talked to them. If this was at a decent course that even had a ranger, and you were that guy, it would never have gotten to this point because I'd have already had the ranger summoned before this even happened. If they'd have called the clubhouse on us for what we did, the clubhouse would have laughed and gave them a rule book so people who expect to play 18 in less than 5 hours can enjoy their facility.

2013 Onoff Forged - Funny Story
I've played 36 with the OnOffs and had some of the best iron play I've ever experienced in those 2 rounds. They're just a fantastic all around set of clubs. The results and feel are incredible. My only complaints: the wedge is practically unusable around the green on tight lies for me for bump and run shots and the set is nigh impossible to tell exactly where you're missing it. I will mis**t one and get a shockingly decent result but I can't tell where I missed on the face like I can with 302s or something. I guess of the result is ok it doesn't matter really but its something I've noticed. If its way toward heel or toe obviously you can tell but anything on the grooves feels good and dead center feels exquisite. I don't know how they manage to make such a large portion of the face so soft and forgiving.

RomaRo 460HX
It actually went really well. Missed a couple right which is unusual for me. It's quite an anti left setup. Was really sore from hitting 300 balls Thursday so it took me a while to get in a groove. Had an "instant classic" drive on a dogleg right. Guys ahead of us were terrible, like first time ever playing golf bad. We were in a hurry and they said they'd let us play through after #12 but while we were hurrying to putt and finish up they teed off and headed down the fairway. Of course this pissed us off so we got on the tee box and debated what to do. Since they were below us and only 100 yards out, we teed off over the top of them and just went around them. Probably in poor taste but funny none the less. I had tried to cut the corner of the dogleg with my drive to see if I could get it there and because it was away from those other guys in case I duffed one. I mashed mine and Kyle did too. Scorecard said 304 from the tees we were on and my ball was on the green somehow and his was 20 yards left in the middle of fairway. There was a bit of tail wind too. Those guys ahead of us were so impressed with our drives they weren't even mad in the slightest, they were actually apologizing to us for being in the way. Couldn't have rolled much at all because the ground was so soft. We got lucky we both hit our best drives of the day and didn't look like idiots. All day yesterday at family Easter, Kyle was telling everyone how I have Japanese cheater clubs and that's why I whipped him. :)

Reapl is correct. The only reason all clubs aren't made of Zolex is because the only Zolex deposit on Earth is deep in the fiery bowels of Mt Fuji, and only Jack Hamm has the government backing and the courage to retrieve the ore.

Plays 42.5" D2. Near mint. Only selling because it is actually too long for a FW for me, don't need to hit 240+ carry with my 3 wood. Picked up a Ray 15 with Attas3. Great persimmon solid feel and distance. Definitely a higher swing speed setup or it will be hard to launch for you. $450 shipped anywhere Paypal gifted. Shaft only $150

You really need to work on holding your release. You are a caster/early release guy like me and that's what causes the high ballooning ball flight in combination with your SS. It's more a technique thing than equipment issue. What I've learned from this is that trying to correct an early release issue with equipment puts a guy in such a stiff low launch shaft that they become very demanding and hard to hit. No joke. This winter I made it my mission to hold my release and it has paid huge dividends not only in ball flight but distance and feel and ball striking. It's like the light bulb went off. I used to top the ball all the time like you said you do and it's because scooping the ball leaves so little room for error. I used to think I was "hitting down on the ball" but was sending it to the moon. When it finally clicks and you can hold your release and hit the ball with a descending blow you are rewarded with that same compressed ball feeling but with the proper flight that is the result of delofting the club at impact. What really helped me get the feel for it was forward pressing before my swing sequence to simulate having my hands well ahead of the ball at impact. Just give this a shot: set up towards your target like you always do. Then lean the shaft forward til your hands are clear forward towards your left hip rather than the center. Then swing like normal. That will help give you the feeling of forward shaft lean at impact and the feel that hitting the ball like that brings. Once you get the hang of it, go back to normal setup and swing sequence but with a focus of holding the release to get the same impact position. Obviously different things work for different people but you and are are very similar in our game and approach (minus about 15 mph SS for me) so maybe if will help you get a feel for proper impact position.

RomaRo 460HX
I'm going to play my first round w it tomorrow. After the results I'd seen the other day I'm really excited. I know the feeling of interest when someone posts a good review of something. I try a lot of things I never really say much about but the things I do think are special I try to make a note. I want to keep some credibility by not saying everything is great and I'm pretty picky. I might be the RomaHo before long because they're making a believer out of me. The woods are so solid and dense yet long. Honest to god the tour select fairway is about as close to persimmon as you can get in a fairway metalwood. If you like a loud tink to tell you that you hit it well, stay away from this one. I called baddmnkey on my way home from hitting the 460HX for the first time I was so impressed. I've hit a ton of drivers in the last 6 months and have really liked the KPX and Covert Tour but this adds another dimension to carry without ballooning with great feel and forgiveness for me.

Just checked in on TSG and saw this and was a little dismayed... I wish I was VP I could use the commission for more gear. I enjoy giving little write ups on equipment that really appeals to me. The onoffs and RomaRo 460HX are fantastic. I think both are special in a world of extremely good gear.

RomaRo 460HX
Has this driver seen a low rate of adoption amongst forum members? I had it built with an Attas 3 7 TS and hit it at the range today and I can't see why it isn't considered a modern legend unless very few people have used it. Solid, lively, feel with muted sound, powerful launch, extreme forgiveness, huge carry distance, and outstanding appearance. The shaft is outstanding as well, I was swinging out of my shoes with a big goofy grin on my face and couldn't get a bad result. I don't think I'd change one single thing about this driver combo.
