  1. I read this review and several others on Akira and other Japanese and Korean club makers. I've been an Adams guy for a while, I like supporting the smaller guys (though Adams isnt anymore). So I am making the plunge. (thanks to the reviews) I live in Australia and am coming to the USA this month and picking up a full set of Akira, top to bottom in the bag. H210 driver + Diamana Kail'i Blueboard 60S M215 FW + Diamana Kail'i Blueboard 70S M117 FW + Diamana Kail'i Blueboard 80S M120 FW + Fubuki AX 85S KS 201 Irons 4-PW + KBS C Taper S flex US Tour wedge 50 degrees US Tour wedge 55 degrees US Tour wedge 50 degrees Masuda Putter heel shaft Type 2 with line - 35 inch, 4 degrees, hand crafted. Yasu at Akira Golf in LA been very helpful. I'm going with C-Taper shafts, have them in my CMB's and I love them great feel. Plus biting the bullet and getting top level shafts for the woods and Hybrid. yes there are 15 clubs, just so I have some choices based on the courses I will play. From LA going up to Vegas end of the month for a 4 day Golf school (Bird Golf). Did it last year so this is a refresher with Jim Samsing. I picked Bird Golf because it's run by Carl Mumford (he was Bob Rotella before anyone knew who he was). And it has as much to do with the mental game as the mechanical. Anyone ever thinking of doing a Golf school (this one is 1 on 1) do it, it's the greatest learning experience you will ever have. I'll try and post after a couple of days at the school to give you my thoughts on the clubs.
