  1. Taylormade 300 Flighted Rifle 6.0 for Taylor Made R580 tour head in 9.5* with SST Pured Aldila NV 65 S?
  2. I would suggest contacting the State of North Carolina consumer affairs division or the county/state attorney, since he has a web site and some of these transactions were done via online from with people out of state he is committing federal offences. Most likely the offences include fraud (bank/wire) and/or other serious charges. Individually it would be small claims, but since there are mutiple people that have been defrauded of their money the State or Federal governments will likely step in. I am now glad that he never responded to emails/pm's I sent in regards to shafts that were being offered. The big problem here is the lack of honesty about the situation. I recall a post last week about how the store was being moved and they would be out of touch while that occurredand. No communication when people tried to get answers. Perhaps he really does intend to make good on things here - I do hope so, but any further delay and the appropriate regulatory offices should be adviced. As a gesture of good faith with anyone who still wants the equipement ordered he should offer to purchase the items that were ordered and sell them at cost fully refunding the difference. Though I suspect few would take him up on that at least then they are getting something of value for all the trouble.
  3. "to "Blueprint" your clubs. Each club is measured for length, flex and swingweight. Shafts are checked for straightness. All measurements are permanently recorded on a chart. Blueprint data will reveal the quality and "fit" of your clubs. A "go, no go" decision is made at this point. Finishing the SST PURE ® process would be a waste of time and money if your clubs have insurmountable problems. Examples of insurmountable problems would be inconsistent shafts, inappropriate flexes or excessive deviation in swingweight. You can't SST PURE ® a bent shaft. Blueprinting will tell whether your current set fits your game. " I had saved that off a web site. I hope it helps since no one seems to be replying to your question.
  4. Additional informationg I have received: Student has been playing a little over a year. 9 iron distance is about 120 (note: using very cheap off brand clubs) Mentor says that he has helped other kids in the past, but most have given up on the game quickly. This kid has stuck with it and hits balls every chance he gets. Unfortunately the kid doesn't have a lot of money and has never been able to afford formal lessons. Typical ball flight is a slice. Suggetions for irons and possibly training aids/books/videos are welcome. Thanks Have a great Memorial Day and remember those who give service to your country (wherever you are from)!
  5. I saw this on another site and was thinking someone on here might be able to help out. I don't have irons that would fit the needs of this kid. Anyone here have something that might work? I have also emailed the poster of the message to see if contributing some $$ to help him out is allowed. http://forums.delphiforums.com/geaswap/mes...ges?msg=37979.1 "I am looking for a good set of forgiving irons for a freshman high school golfer. They need to be forgiving and at a good price. This is a good kid with limited money to spend." Additional information is they are looking for regular shafts and to keep the price as low as possible. If anyone has something that might work let me know and I will forward the information. Thanks
  6. Email sent on Aldila NV 65 yesterday evening, no response did you receive it?
  7. Goose Creek in Loundon County VA?
  8. Leaving them to the right is likely caused by hitting fat, your club face is probaly ok. Unless you have either videotaped it or someone very knowledgable watched your swing and that is why you think it is open. Always put about 60% of your weight on your front foot for wedge shots, at least that's what I do. It seems to promote hitting down through the ball and not scooping it. One other thing to check on any fat shot is that you aren't to close to the ball at address. The post about extension of your right hand is related to this. If you are to close to the ball your right hand (or left for lefthanded players) can not extend fully if you are to close to the ball. Instead you end up hitting fat and the shot never has a chance.
  9. hehehe ... sorry misunderstood your comment
  10. Not when it is brand new club and not a used prototype head. They are supposedly brand new complete clubs though possibly without the headcover.
  11. SCAM FOR SURE! Here is his response to email inquiring if the had any left. "Hi there sir yes I do have one for sale $300 usd $15 sh fed ex anywhere in north america I will except credit cards thru western union the total will be $300 usd and you pay the western union fees I can ship out as soon as I receive payment five days to return let me know asap please send me your tel and if you would like to finish the deal let me know thanks Mr.Kim" How CONvenient he has one left, I bet he says that to all the boys!
  12. Need to buy a TM RAC 52 tour, preferably forged, Y groove would be even better.
  13. Have to agree the mouth that roars aka Johnny Miller if he was 1/100th as good as he thinks he was/is then everyone would be bowing at his feet. But Venturi is a lot better then most of us realize, if you go back and read about the mid to late 50s there were a lot of accolades about Venturi's swing. He was a victim of a condition that in other professions gets you workmen's comp / disability payments for life. For those that don't know he developed carpal tunnel syndrom in his hands - from how much he practiced. Some of what I have read/heard is that he would have tired out Vijay. So how good he could have been if not forced to retire because of excrutiating pain is of course the proverbial what if. During his brief career he had 14 wins, a US Open that one him the 64 Sportsment of Year from Sports Illustrated, finished second at the Masters as an amateur, finished second at the Masters two times both to Arnold Palmer.
  14. I have a tendency to overswing as well, reaching past parallel and then trying to stand on it with everything I have. One instructor gave me two drills that seem to help. The first is to work on slowing everything in the back swing way down. The drill is done with a tee for all clubs not just woods. Tee a ball at appropriate height and then you take the club back as slowly as possible - I'm talking REALLY slow. Then swing through the ball normally. Your timing will likely be off a little but as you do this you do adjust. After a few swings you speed the backswing up a little. Each time concentrating on keeping the backswing slow and controlled, pausing (setting) at the top and then firing. The key is to find the backswing that you can control. Once you build up in close to your normal tempo you will quickly notice when you over swing. Another drill that both restricts the back swing and forces you to stay in balance is standing with the feet together or the right foot (left if you are left handed) crossed over top of the left. Then you hit balls - YES IT IS AWKWARD at first, but it is immediate impact on being out of balance. It has the added benefit of restricting your turn so no over swinging. The amazing thing is how far you can hit a ball from this stance when you get the timing down. We may have different swing problems that lead to the overswing on the backswing, but I think you might find these useful.
  15. Fair is a two way street here... if it is a legit tour head and tour shaft then fair is simply whatever the highest bidder offers. But for most golfers even the low handicaps a true tour setup is probably a bit much to handle, so perhaps they need to reshaft to something that fits their came more. I guess what truly matters the most is whether there are going to be Japan issued tour heads that are retail there similar to the Yellow flag version of the RAC wedge. If its that type tour iron then $999.00 would be more realistic.

I believe he is playing the CB irons but some custom/prototype called the CF is not out of the question.
  17. So yellow flags with dots aren't really tour van clubs it sounds like. At the very least there are two grades of tour heads for the RAC, I guess it shouldn't shock me that they took advantage of the market and issued the "tour" edition. Glad I got mine through a friend who has been a caddy on tour awhile now. Usually things are sold to his close friends long before I hear about them, this time I got lucky.
  18. What are they? I've never heard of them.
  19. I should know this but I don't so what is the difference in the red vs yellow flag when the hosels have the two dots stamped in them. Is it the grooves or something else?
  20. Probably the Fuji Speeder 757 in an X or perhaps the new Aldila Xtreme NV ... but more then a stiff shaft it sounds like you need low torque and possibly a heavier shaft. If you lose it left often what is your ball flight like? That will tell a lot more about the shaft you need. Are they draws that just drift to far left, snap hooks, dead pulls, etc?
  21. I have recently learned of a certified fitter in my area who offers a very in depth fitting analysis. He does work on the Pros equipment when they are in town for the "Kemper" - still can't remember the new sponsors name. With my luck he is likely going to tell me that my clubs are all wrong for me. However I have spoken with him and he understands that my main focus is not on new clubs, but on best shaft options for me. I won't completely rule out new clubs, but the results would have to be dramatically different for me to change. Below is a description of the high tech fitting he offers. He is certified with leading companies (KZG,Infinity, Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Taylormade, Cobra, Cleveland, Integra, Fujikura, SK Fiber, Penley, Harrison, UST, Apache, Grafalloy, Gramman, True Temper, Rifle) and is a Class "A" Certified Custom Clubmaker. At this point fine tuning my clubs especially the shafts is my goal. Any thoughts on this type fitting? The following will explain the processes: The basic analysis consists of a full player interview, an equipment analysis and a swing analysis. The equipment analysis consists of measuring the frequency, Swingweight, length, bounce, loft and lie of all your clubs. The clubs are charted and graphed in order to compare for consistency and establishing a baseline. We then analyze your swing utilizing a sophisticate digital laser reader with a computer that gives us a digital image of the swing path, club-head and ball. We take swing speed and tempo measurements. We also conduct a dynamic length analysis to determine the exact length of club for you. If you do not purchase clubs the cost is $100 and if you do purchase it is reduced to $50. We do have a much more in-depth analysis that costs $175 and is reduced to $100, if clubs are purchased. This analysis takes an additional two hours for a total of three hours. The concept is to eliminate all variables but the one we are analyzing. We again utilize a sophisticate digital laser reader with a computer that gives us a digital image of the swing path, head and ball. On each swing we get to see the exact swing-path, head position at contact, swing speed, ball speed, launch angle, revolutions per minute (RPM) forward and RPM sideways, distance, height and ball path. We begin by having the golfer hit six or seven clubs of different lengths. The clubs are exact in every way except for the length. We are then able to determine which length club performs best for you. The second analysis is to hit six or eight clubs, which are exact in every way except for the frequency (Flex). Each club is just slightly stiffer then the one before it. We are then able to utilize the computer to determine the greatest ball-speed, launch angle and accuracy and distance for a given frequency. This step is followed by using a special shaft which matches your frequency specifications, which has a quick connect, allowing us to connect many different heads to a single shaft. In this way the only variable is the head. We are then able to compare results with different heads on the same shaft. The final step is to place the best performing head onto many different types of shafts, steel, graphite, low kick point, high kick point, light, medium and heavy shafts to compare the results. In all we use over forty different club and shaft combinations in order to determine which head; shaft, frequency and length combination gives you the best performance. This is a very in-depth analysis and is not needed by all golfers, but I assure you, the results are extremely accurate.
  22. These clubs have less then 30 rounds on them. Very clean faces with only minor sole wear and tear - one club 6 iron has a ding on the leading edge (does not affect playability) Flighted rifle 6.0 2 degrees up, winn grips have 5 rounds on them. Will consider reasonable offers for cash or trade. Also have a TM 510 9.5 with factory stiff shaft Will consider offers on my 580XD 9.5 with Harrison Striper (stiff) - club only has 2 rounds and a few trips to the range. Only reason I will consider selling this is that I find the Striper shaft just isn't quite ideal for my swing. Selling might be better then reshafting but only for the right offer.
  23. Swing the handle is execellent. Harmon's Four Cornerstones and Playing lessons Rotella's books on the game within our heads. Shrink Your Handicap Sam Snead - Golf Starts at 40 or Golf Over Forty (been awhile since I read it) Hogan's Power Golf Hank Haney - No More Bad Shots Ray Floyd - 60 yards in and is Scoring book Tom Watson's Strategic Golf Pavin's Shotmaking Sadly I'm almost as much a book junkie as a golf addict. I have a large collection of golf books and videos. I find myself spending a lot of time in the late fall till spring reading and watching, then I go out and play the same old golf because I don't apply most of what I read. The things that do stick long enough to get applied seem to be the real gems.
  24. I was able to pick up a set of TM CB's off ebay. They were listed as Taylormade Limited Edition. The way they were listed very few people even viewed the clubs. I was able to get them for only $650.00 (after seller put in writing return guarantee if not authentic) and contrary to some reports they do have a serial number. I contacted a TM rep that I have known for several years and had him check out the serial number. I received an email from TM stating that the serial number I had provided was authentic and from the limited edition group of CB irons. Needless to say that was welcome news.
