  1. Mine are definitely RAW. Are they conforming
  2. Thanks Supo. I am gathering the EGG is far superior off the DECK but off the TEE, woudl you say the TEE is a lot longer than the EGG or the EGG can still keep up shaft and loft being the same. Thanks again in advance.
  3. It does help. Thank you. Here is an example of how long I have been away from the game. There are 2 different EGG heads? Can you please share more.
  4. Hi, Apologies, I'm refering to the TEE XCG-3 FAIRWAY 15* 3 Wood. That said, if the EGG is BORING, that is good.
  5. I knew I should not have gotten active on this site. Been seeing EGG all over the place so I'm curious now. OK, I can;t hit FW off the deck to save my life and I've shaped my game around that. I really only use the FW off the tee on tighter par 4. I'm playing the TEE XCG-3 15 now which makes it my 3rd TEE in succession after the CB 1 and 2. So the questions, off the tee, shaft and loft being the same, is the EGG over the TEE XXCG-3: 1. Longer? 2. Lower spinning and hence more roll? 3. More forgiving (this is the least important as I will play this club off the tee but I am still a very social golfer now for various reasons) Thanks in advance.
  6. OK. My Miura wedges are like the ones in ebay listing. Its stated as tour issue as well. Bogus or really tour issue? http://cgi.ebay.com/Miura-Genuine-Forged-54-degree-Tour-Wedge-Stiff-MRH-/200641055795?pt=Golf_Clubs&hash=item2eb7238c33 Apologies for the link but I really can;t post pics here.
  7. That's interesting. When I tried the Yururis a while back, I thought they felt rather hard and harsh. Just me though.
  8. Your 60 is the older Technity copper and not the newer KGX copper range I presume. The older range is lower bounce which I tend to prefer.
  9. Goodness... I didn't know Epon was that well known to be counterfeited.
  10. If ever you wanna let go of your Epon 60 copper head, do let me know. Or I have 2 Epon Techinty 60 Black heads if you are interested.
  11. Now if someone can help me edit "forCed' to forGed" in the title LOL
  12. Per a previous thread, I picked up some pre-loved Miura forged RAW wedges about 2-3 weeks back with "genuine" etched on the hosels of both and with "Tour Issue Miura Wedges" on stickers on the DG shafts. I doubt they are real tour issue and that was perhaps a ploy by the golf shop. That however is not the point of this thread. I have put the Miura 60* wedge in play which comes with a DGSL300 shaft. Just 2 days ago, I reshafted the Miura 52* which is a very light head to the exact same setup as my Epon TEchnity Copper 52% ie, same shaft, same flex, same length, same grip, same loft, same lie and very similar swing weight (maybe less than 1/2 SW point difference with the Miura being the lighter of the 2). This is possibly the best comparison for a head to head as that is the only difference. I hit both at the range yesterday and I can safely conclude the following: 1. The miura setup seems to fly slightly lower. 2. Miura setup drops and stops a lot better than the Epon. The Epon can hold greens well enough but the Miura seems more adapted for dead pin attacks. 3. Despite it being a short club and a 52, somehow the Miura seems more accurate. Again, Same lie, length et al. 4. Miura setup seems softer and more solid on pure hits than the Epon. While I am still gaming the Epon Pro-Is for my irons, I've moved to the Miuras for the 52 and 60. Epons are still great but FOR ME, the 2 used Miura's I picked up are just that tad better. Wish I could post pics but I'm just having trouble posting pics here and my photobucket account seems crazy.
  13. Damit! Next time jusy says its sucks ok... :-)
  14. Argh.... why didn;t you say so earlier.

Hmm.. I think I'll have to pass on the 152 then. I've found shafts can only help reduce spin that much. If the head is a high spin profile, not much you can do. Will need to get my hands on a 102 demo.

Damnit! I should not have looked in to this thread. I'm still on the 101. Is the 152 or 102 so much better than the 101? i'm a stupid high spin player (swing flaw) and I play my 9.5* Af101 with a DI shaft and I do get some run so anyhead that is higher spinning than the 101 won;t do it for me.
  17. Cool. Thanks as I was looking for that. I just hit the BIN. Oakley headcover fetish complete but one of their cart bags on ebay is really tempting me.
  18. I just got my Oakley driver headcover from ProgolfJapan to match my Oakley FW and putter headocvers. Looking for an Oakley HYBRID headcover now to complete. Anyone knows where I can get my hands on one? I think Japan is a good bet hence my post in this section. Thanks in advance.
  19. Not that it saffects me as I don;t play any professional tournaments but are these wedges conforming?
  20. Try the Maruman Shuttle series. Very forgiving and long.
  21. I actually bent my epons mre upright but then again, I play them 0.5 inch shorter than US standard.
  22. I have access to a friend's club building facilities so I do all the on my own clubs from cutting, filing, shimming, swing weighting, tipping, epoxying, shimming if needed, spining, used to do floing, gripping, lie loft adjustment etc the whole 9 yards. Used to hate bore heads as that is troublesome, time consuming and overall just more intensive.
  23. the shafts that both came have a white sticker on them that says "tour issue miura wedge"... i don;t believe that. Again like I said, got them used and it wasn't a ton of moolah by any means so I thought, what the check.. just for fun and if they don;t work out, use the heads as paper weights LOL
  24. Nice. For me, I would like to see more Japanese stuff go with a cleaner look and not have such a busy back with so much text. The japanese seem to have something about wantting to describe attributes on the golf heads :-) The Miuras I pickeup up just have the older US Miura logo, forged stamp and loft. Same with the older Epons. Clean... nice.
  25. Mine is RAW but I am talking really light that would required tip weighting for up to 6 swing weight points given my setup. Don;t have this issue with my Epon Techinity Wedges.
