  1. I agree that 15-18 is an ideal angle (vijay is 18), and for the most part the type of ball will have a larger impact on spin rate vs. the driver. Lowering the spin rate is the way to get the most distance, although easier said than done. Tour numbers are usually in the 2000rpm, but they are in another league. Consider changing balls which can lower spin by 500rpm and then consult a teacher. If you could get a launch between 15-18 with 3000 rpm with a relatively sqaure face, you will be bombing it. DO NOT worry about your swing speed, it is irrelevant.

Tigers wedges were forged by Nike and then hand ground. Tiger's wedges weren't even made for him. He picked them out of a closet and tested them while at Nike, and loved them and then took them. This is from Stites. As for the forgings, I cannot argue that Miura forges a better club, I have my arguements that it doesn't matter, but that doesn't matter. I am sure Stites does not use the CNC machine or forge the irons himself, but he does design them, and they went through 11 sets before they found the CG Tiger needed. He and his staff did the designing on bounce, toe shpae, hosel, CG, and size which is what matters. Therefore Nike made and makes Tiger's equipment.

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Stites, and he told me that he made his clubs. It took several protos and a lot of work, but they finally got the CG, he wanted. Done. You know you are a good company when others try to knock your skill.

Ignite T-60 release is on Oct.1/04. I have been told that it has a small deep face like the old PT's.
