David's dad, TP is the father of SC's "Studio Design" putters. The studio putters (not the studio stainless putters) are all original TP Mills designs. You will not find any better craftsmanship from a puttermaker today, than from David Mills. You design it, even if you drew it on a bar napkin, David can and WILL make it for you down to the exact specs you wanted, not what someone felt like you ought to have. The best part of the whole deal with David, is that you actually buy through him and not some middle man that marks it up a couple of thousand $$$ for himself. David Mills is the best there is right now in the US. I can't speak of Gauge putters, because I have never had one. I have owned many SC putters ( not retail) and David's work is still the best. jay

I got these from my club pro who is switching to CG-1s. The only irons that have been played are the 7-pw, the 4-6 have hit a few balls on the practice range, but have never been played. There are signs of wear on the face, but no wear to the grooves, as you know these have very soft faces. I have a set of these that are in 9 of 10 condition. I have played a few rounds with them and were new in the box when I got them about 2 months ago. I agree, it is all about the shaft. I bought the box toes from xgator2bman (Jason) and I immediately changed the shafts to X-100s and that made all of the difference in the world to me. I have played TM 300s for a few years off and on and these irons feel completely different with the X-100s in them. jay
