TM RAC "T" Stamp "Tour" Miura Forgings
I wish i took a pictures on every one of them i've work on. With my sharpies marking on them, I can tell how wack up one by one to the exact grams. I only remember that a few of them have a minor blemish on the chroming but bad enough for production and I'm sure quite a few of them has a wack up weight but i can't remember how bad was that. TM RAC "T" Stamp "Tour" Miura Forgings
I agree with this! I have JDM Mags with T#### stamps in them. That tells us a lot. and this thread should be deleted because it seems to be off the wall speculation. Those Marking are only for the woods as far as i know. Joe

Here how it look on miura head when it just came out of the DIE and attach the hosel. This head in average have about 10 grams extra weight that need to be grind off to shape them properly and cosistenly. That is why if you see the BT grind has slightly thicker perimeter to compensate the toe grind weight lose. Here how a Die look like: And here the look step by step: Joe

Who knows where exactly on The first prototype Box Toe made.I wouldn't be surprise if it originally made in the tour dept or Lehman's garage. What ever it is, after they got the prototype, I'm sure they send it to the master grinder to copy them base on the prototype and finished it there too. I've never seen any refinish place In the US did a satin finish like Japan or basically in Asia ( China ). US satin finish style is a brush wheel after plated. You can feel an obvious grain and no shine to it versus most of Japan issue satin finish is slick and shiny but yet no glare. I'm sure If you understand how a forged carbon steel club process from a piece of steel rod to a shinny finish golf club, you'll understand why it's only one "DIE" for these retail and BT. Plus if you know exactly how much to make a complete set of DIE ( 2-PW at least ), you'll say "I see" :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: :money: The role of Master grinder is very important IMO, No way these guy can learn and master it quickly . IMO they are the artist of shaping a club head. The good one can even manipulate the angle to fool our eyes. Cheers! Joe- My Latest shipment!!! Pic!!!
Thanks Jim!! Joe - My Latest shipment!!! Pic!!!
Mid Hi Kick point 3.4* torque at 65 grams. I have a lot of success w/ this shaft when it comes to adding rolls and carry. Tight feel but not boardy. They stoped the production on this shaft due to expensive material and labor intensive. They have a boron/titanium fiber sandwich in between ( tip to butt ), It sparks when i cut them. Basically this shaft is the little brother of 761. I only have a few pieces. :smile1: Joe - My Latest shipment!!! Pic!!!
Here are some of my new shipment picture. All shaft are Japan issue only at this moment and some haven't hit the store yet. I only put on the picture for the latest shaft and the most succesfull shaft i've ever work with. I've got pretty much everything in my stock. I will have some more shipment in two weeks time for the Graphite Design. It is limited on the new shaft, so be aware on the availability on this shafts. Let me know if any of you need quotation. THX! Joe  [email protected]- Lehman Box toes
Thanks! Let me put it this way, The job description in the tour van is "work quickly without making big mistakes" and " Know what to say and not to say". Different Mold? No , I don't think so!!! Doesn't make sense and to damn expensive to make a different die for every one of them (2-PW). It's the same mold but the master grinder took over right after the raw forging and grind it according to the instruction and samples that the TM tour dept want to get the right spec they want it to be and finish it there and ship them to a tour dept. Imagine this particular customer want me to copy the grind and i only lost a few grams. Cheers! Joe - Lehman Box toes
Here we go again!!! :smile1: Satin finish is the Box toe grind!!! Enjoy boys! Joe - WTB: Fujikura SKW or Pro-80. Must be X-flex
Sorry the SKW is end up taying in the club. Let me know if you need the pro 80. THX! Joe- Removing shaft extensions?
Tought to say here! It can be really difficult and it can be very easy. It's all depending what they've used. Most of them are using a plastic extention which goes in pretty deep and hard to take it out if they were using a 24 hr epoxy. Just be very carefull, you might end up distroying the shaft. Joe - Removing shaft extensions?
Do you know what kind of extension? how deep? and what type of glue ? ( 5 minutes or longer?Joe- Anyone know the tip size for Mizuno S30?
If it is from a steel shafted, it should be taper tip. From a graphite shafted could be both, depending on what shaft was on it.Joe - HELP! BEFORE I MAKE A MISTAKE
That is what i tought!!!I would stand what i said on the previous post. I will just add that the 660 play smoother feel. Let me know! Joe - Fujikura Tour Spec SPD 771 TA - Joe K Help
Completely different feel if you compare it to 757. 764 will feel smooth and tight, not as boardy/tip stiff like 757. Will hit the ball slightly higher w/ 764.Joe - Fujikura Tour Spec SPD 771 TA - Joe K Help
Every body has their own opinion and respect all of them.I gave every body my insight technically and playability base on what i got and feel. As A fuji dealer, I probably pretty much test 90% of Fuji.s shafts (japan issue and US issue ) including some tour issue. I know a few of our members here play w/ 764 also. They probably can give us some more insight. Also swing style will give a different result too. Good luck! Joe - Shaft Frequency Changes
All the numbers that you said above doesn't compute to me very well, In fact it's kind of confusing to me. Especially you didn't say about the lenght and swing weight you've measured at. I Can only say that your swing speed should lead you to X flex all the way but I can't give you better a better sugestion if i don't have a deeper information about your swing, game , etc. BTW, What kind of Freq machine are you using? Joe - HELP! BEFORE I MAKE A MISTAKE
What is your swing speed? It will play slightly stiffer compare to your penley tour light (is this the shaft you are having now? ), Plus 660 is a slightly heavier shaft which should become another factor to sligthly slower your swing speed. But if you end up w/ a straighter shot and better tempo, you'll probably end up longer. 2" insertion is not gonna hurt the strenght if you are using a proper epoxy and preparation. I have the shipment coming soon if you need one! THX! Joe - TM 510 TP with Fuji 671
