  1. NICK, 1. There are no industry standard on freq machine, I'm sure you know this. From machine to another can be different. 2. Frequency machine is only producing number for us to be able to tell where we want to go. Undestanding the character of the shaft is more important to be able to fit the customers, off course understanding the swing of a customers is almost as equal as the shaft character. I only use a freq machine to guide me to the right number and build them consistently through out the set up of the whole set. From My experiences building Callaway iron, if you want the flex to fall around 6.1-6.3, I would either soft step 6.0 twice or use a 5.5. Installing it on a soft spot after spining it and check the CPM to get a consistent through out the set is very important IMO. IMHGO, Taper tip shaft are not the same w/ paralel tip in perfomance. It might not be much but it's noticeable for me. To many issue to explain them and i don't want to get into them again as we can drag it for a long discussion. For callaway Iron i usually installed a taper tip ( X16 ) and i have a custom tool ( i customed order it from a friend who work for BOEING ) to just make sure that the hosel are evently taper all the way to fit snug w/ the shaft, so after abraded it will fit tightly without worrying it will move around after glueing. And usually I can heat up a bit by the tip to make the glue dry around that spot so i can cut the angle in the cutting wheel. And I finish it up w/ finishing wheel and buff it up. The heat from cutting wheel and finishing wheel will make the glue half dry, half way up. Glueing the shaft and plastic plugs are done all together. I never put any slit and I almost never put paralel tip on newer callaway iron. From My method, most customers usually told me that the club feel more solid and sturdier to handle any shot, And ball flight is not as high as the paralel tip. Good luck! Joe
  2. Too many to test but so little my time is. :wah: :tired:

  6. This is a repost thread that i lost from the other day. According to Papachoi's post the other day, he doesn't have 460 written on the back of the hosel and it has aluminium sleeve inside the hosel. If that is what you got, I'll pass!!! I only want the tour issue the one w/ 460 written in the hosel, especially the one w/ T serial number under neath the 460. I don't mind 350 tip hosel, i can always make a 0.008" aluminium sleeve/shim to fit the 335" tip nice and tight. THX! Joe

  8. LOL! The beauty of this driver, they'll hit the store or pro shop in a couple of weeks and won't have a new line in the next 6 months. At least make the price much more stabil and good for all of us club ho. Joe
  9. Who, MCoz? :smile2:  Yea right!!! He wish!!! LOL!!!IF no one in the west coast touch his products to sell for him, what is that tell you? :spit: :yuk: Joe
  10. I don't think so IMO!!!Pro 80 is a pretty good choice to if you want to to a low 80's. Just let me know if i can assist you on any of this shaft. Joe [email protected]

  14. I would probably pick speeder 693 then. SKW will hit a little lower than pro95 IMO. Joe
  15. That is the real Pro 95 !!! Joe
  16. Sorry boys! My hand kind of shaky today. I can take a steady pictures but they should be clear enough for you guys to see. I will definitely give the 905S a try.  Joe
  17. MP30 and MP 32 are available in LH.I'm working on a set of lefty MP 32 as i wrote this. Joe
  18. I will take one 8.5* and one 9.5* if it says 460 in the back hosel. Send me you Phone number when you got the head and verify everything on the phone and pay you right away if everything is as I expected. THX! Joe Kwok [email protected]
  19. If you hit it a lot lower , Why do you want to pick SKW? and If you said you always like heavy shaft, why SKW? This shaft hits the ball lower and only 75 grams. Start thinking TW84, Pro 80 ( not bad ), Tour AD M85, Those are some of the 80's gram shaft. HM4 is in the 105 gram if i'm not wrong. Understanding what type of a swinger and game you have is important for me to be able to recommend you, Is it the shaft or the loft that you have to change or both. Joe  [email protected]
  20. I even probably do MP27 on a 3 and 4 iron , 5,6,7 w/ MP30 and 8,9,PW w/ MP37.Or if you are a high ball hitter and prefer a players club profile, you can just do 3-6 or 7 MP30 and 7 or 8 - PW MP 37. Or you can even do 3-6 or 7 MP32 and 7 or 8 - PW MP 37 or MP33. Basically, Mizuno custom dept will do anything you want as long as the logo of Mizuno is on the club. For me I probably like to see a solid M logo on the toe and number on the sole. That is it nothing else on the head. Good Luck! Joe  ps: And after that send them to me for blueprinting. :surprize:
  21. I'm not sure i understand 100% your question here, but i'll try to answer and let me know if i misunderstood you.Ball flight!!! Trust me It's noticeable lower. Not much at all but it's there. For a 510TP head at 206 grams, I'm pretty sure you have at least 6-8 grams rat glue inside. Thw weight catrige in the back mostly are around 11-13 grams. In my experience, Don't even mess around to much w/ the weight catridge. It'll threw off quite a bit the weighting/balance of the heads. A couple grams should be ok but not much for sure and you better have a new replacement, incase you damage the silicon catridge. The best case for you is just try to take the rat glue out as much as possible and see what you got after that. And proceed accordingly after a precise calculation. Trade secret! I have to kill you to after i told you how. :smile2: Well, It's not a do it yourself thing for sure. To many step and risk to do it right and still a guessing game untill you try your best. Some head are just harder to do it and other are easier. In your case (Nike head)you need to open the hosel plug, emblem and inject the foam from there and make sure fill up nice and full. Certain head will make certain sound, not every one of them become nice and muted. It's a messy job for sure. R7 head are easier because more access to go inside the head by opening up all the screws and R7 head has no rat glue inside ( at least i haven't seen one yet ). Bare in mind 11-12 grams are on 400cc heads, for bigger head will be more for sure. Price will be varies depending how difficult the task is, type of head, and i can't tell until i work on it and owner of the club will take a full responsibility on the result. Cheers! Joe
  22. Jamesons, I would say you ougt to consider calling Chris and treat your self a custom satin nickel finish Mizuno. You can basically order any combo of Mizuno products. You can order a long iron cavity back ( maybe MP30 ) and short iron MP37 for better trajectory control. Have them w/ DGS300 and specified what spec you want them to be, I'm sure you'll be a very happy man at the end. Expensive but IMO it's well worth the trouble if you know what you exactly want. Good luck! Joe
  23. Try everything and took a note on every single one of them. Make sure every number is record in your note book, driver per driver, shaft per shaft, etc.Ball speed, swing speed, tempo, launch angle, spin rate, side spin, etc. Call me after that and I'll do my best to help you w/ the choices to analyse them one by one. Joe
  24. Throw off? I don't think so if you make sure everything fill up evenly. Like i said on a previous post, It will make the center gravity higher, thus it will shoot the ball slightly lower flight.Joe
  25. Paint striper. Bead blast. Tape it up. And go to a powder coating place and ask if they could try at least close enough to the titleist paint color ( bring one or borrow one for sample ). You need to take the shaft out, cuz a good powder coating, required the head to be bake to make the paint hard enough to stand impact or scratch. good luck! Joe
