FS: MOZ 2030cb's 3-PW, 52 and 58
For sale - a brand new set of ultra high-end irons hand made by MOZ Ishihara, a famous company in Japan known for making Tour wedges (#2 on the Japanese tour). Mr. Ishihara is a famous handgrinder who has expanded into making putters and irons. These clubs are made of 1018 soft carbon steel (super great feel). Mr. Ishihara is the only person who does the grinds for this brand. These are his new irons - just been out a short time. The clubs are less than a week old, and none of the irons have even been hit except for the 52 and 58 wedges. The wedges have hit about 5 balls only! Club specs: 3-PW are 1/4 inch over std. with Project X 6.0s TW306 52 and 58 degree wedges are Rifle Spinner 6.0 These are an amazing set of sticks that I just can not afford to keep at this time. :-( I purchased the whole set for over $3,300 and I am willing to let them go for $2,000. A huge savings!!! Pics are available upon request (or there is an old post by Chris that has the same pics - search this site for MOZ). Please only email if you are really interested in the clubs. Contact me at [email protected] or IM me on MSN Messenger at [email protected].

What iron lofts do you prefer?
I was curious as to what lofts you prefer for your irons? I am purchasing a new set of irons and can't decide whether to go standard lofts or 2 degrees strong. Any comments or opinions on this?

Who is the Top Iron Maker?
Well, I have played the Hiros, Mizuno (MP29 US version) and have ordered a set of MOZ 2030Cbs, and MP37 Satins from Chris. They are all great irons and it really gets down to feel, quality of workmanship, and game. As Chris mentioned, you get great workmanship and forgiveness with the Hiros. They are striking clubs to see in person! But the overall feel I believe to be much softer with the MOZ (they use a 1018 vs. a 1025 or 1050). Also, I think the custom satin finish Mizzys are the coolest looking clubs out there. So I am not sure you can say one is better than the other. It is like buying a car... are you buying a car to race it, just get to work, pick up girls or carry lumber to the job site. All of these things would result in different requirements - ie., leading to a different selection of the best car for your particular need. I think the same is true of golf clubs. What do you want the club to be (i.e., best looking, best made, most forgiving, WOW factor, etc.), and then decide on the best tool for the job. That is why we all have so many sets... you never know which tool is needed for that particular day.

Do they have other black finishes? Like the Gauge finish?

Hiro Matsumoto M Wedges
As Chris mentioned, I do have a brand new set of Hiro irons and wedges. My wedges are the M series in Black. I got the 52 and 60 with rifle spinner shafts. I am swampped at work this week and have not had a chance to even go hit them. WOW! Now that is crazy right. ;-) I plan to play Saturday and will post my thoughts after the round. I will tell you that these irons are SUPER high quality, and have a finish and balance to them that you don't find with many clubs (applies to both irons and wedges). Feel free to PM me any specific questions that you have.

Gauge Design GAF1 Review
I too just got a new GAF1 3 wood from Chris. BTW - turn around time on the order was awesome! Thanks Chris. I have not hit it, but I will say the HK-80 shaft (S) seems a bit whippy to me out of the box. I understand from Chris that they don't tip the shaft automatically... which for a fairway wood seems odd. I would expect anywhere from a 1/2 inch to 1.5 inch tip for a 3 wood. I plan to hit the club in play on Fri or Sat and will let you all know what I find. I am currently playing a Sonartec SS-07 15 degree with a NV-75 S tipped to play close to a 6.0-6.5 flex and length is 43 inches.

Best irons for feel and performance
I have hit a set of Srixon Pro 100 blades and they have an incredible feel to them. So different than most other blades I have hit (670, hogan, mp33 or 37, etc.). I wanted to ask if anyone has hit the Srixon Pro 100 and what they thought. Also, what other top quality blades do you recommend and why? Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

MOZ IRONS
My brother is thinking of getting a new set of irons and I showed him the pic of the MOZ 2030s and he loved them! My questions for you guys are: 1) Do any of you have the MOZ irons (CB or MB)? 2) Anything out there compare to these he should also consider?
