Guys, Remember, a cpm reading is basically butt stiffness, unless your profiling the shaft in numerous locations. The SE (and all Accras to different extents) has a stiff butt and mid section combined with the active tip section. The cool thing about this shaft is the 1.5 torque/Active tip combo! The Speeder is a great shaft, but a very different animal....stiffer tip section, higher torque, and softer mid and butt sections. Good luck! GBR
  2. Hi Guys, Ken (LowPro) has answered virtually all the questions, but I'll just clarify a couple of items. Yes Jesper has been using an Accra Tour 70 M5 since early fall. Of the 60 Tour players that used Accra's in 2004, there was a pretty even split between the SE, SC, and Tour series. It really depended on what spin rates the player was trying to aciheve. All Accra's have the Low Torque/responsive tip technology, but the torque ranges from 1.5 - 4.0. What Ken was getting at is even the Tour 50 is so stable (at 50 grams) that guys like Rich Beem used it all year (and he rips at it!). The SC95, was introduced on Tour mid season, and became quite popular with "steel" guys and as a fairway wood shaft. Of all Accra's it has the the least responsive tip (but still far more active than any othe 2.0 torque shaft our there!). Haribo, I'm glad to hear you like the SC75...that may be out most popular single model on the PGA and Nationwide Tour...but if your interested in something that feels similar to your SC75 but in that 100 gram range, talk to Ken (LowPro), he can get you a SC95 anytime now! Cheers, Gawain
  3. Hi Ed, Just thought I'd jump in, basically any shaft will play stiffer when fully inserted into a Titleist head and our shafts are no different. It is similar to tipping the shaft 1 1/2". The Tour players tell us that the M4 fully inserted into a Titleist still "feels" a little softer than a M5 straight in, but the specs will end up being somewhat similar. If your trying to get "as stiff as possible" without going to a M5, the full insertion is the way to go, but I'd check with a clubfitter first, who knows your swing. With graphite there are so many variables that affect the "feel" it's always a good idea to try it first. But again, I agree with TeeitHi, Accra will never be accused of feeling "boardy" Good luck, GBR
  4. Price wise DHL is by far the best we've found, and with delivery times of 2-5 days you can't beat it. If anyone has found better pricing than DHL, I'd love to hear about it. Shipping, just isn't cheap across the pond!
