Alan,
Hope you father is doing well, as well as you can do having had your chest cracked open. Smokers are weird about quitting so I hope he quits too. Yes building a house takes over your life, and if I remember correctly will raise the stress level of life in general several degrees. I believe it's well worth it in the end.
I just got a new set of Titleist ZM irons to test and write a review on for GolfWrx, after the first 4 or 5 shots I need me a set of these. It's supposed to be 26* tonight and I haven't had a chance to do more than hit the PW, 8 and 6 iron but hopefully next week I can go out and get in 18-36 holes.
Enjoy guys
Shoe
Still a club "HO" I see shoe
Will have to take a look at the review when it is done.

Hey Mike,
Glad to hear your doing well, no rejection is a good good thing. Hopefully that also means you don't spend a lot of time with the prednisone moon face look. A real job after 25 years? Yuck. Real jobs are those where you can lose a body part and/or go home dirtier than you came to work, I gave those up 30 years ago.
Looking to get out tomorrow after a winter of record snow. How much snow you ask? enough that FEMA renting the top floor of our building this month to help with the State of Wisconsin snow emergency. Of course by now all but the biggest piles of snow have finally melted and the temperature today will be 65*. No wonder these guys have such a crappy reputation.
Only got to play a few times last year, this year will be different. Have explained to the women who run my life that Monday and Tuesday belong to me. Imagine that, I actually believe that will work. Sigh. The advantage to having a cell phone is that it has an off button.
Later guys,
No prednisone face here shoe. Have not taken that since July 2006. Never did see the moon face
Yes a real job, as am too young to retire completely nor can I afford to either.
So dirty I will get
Take Care

Hey, long time no post dudes. Have to keep this thread moving a bit so thought I would drop in a say something.
Ok, have said something Later
Hope everyone is well, am doing excellent. No rejection at all and am coming up on the 2 year mark.
Also am calling it quits (as in am going to retire) this summer and heading out to find a real job. Guess I will have to do some real work for a change cause I sure haven't for the last 25 years
Will be moving this summer so will not be playing any golf at all this year, just hope it doesn't stretch into another year after that.
Take Care.

So after playing blades into my 50+ years, I've finally decided to change things up and move into the modern age by changing to a cavity back iron. Believe me, it was hard to come to grips with the fact that I'm not sacrificing my manhood in any way (testosterone, if you don't have any you can never understand, what can you say about a hormone that makes it imperative that I know precisely where the lot line of any property I've ever examined is located) . I figure it should actually help my game by both allowing me to benefit from a bit more forgiveness and the advances in technology over the last 7 years. My irons must surely compare to say, Windows 98 and the G Field NC 1's I'm getting would then be Windows XP.(this is relative terms ok I don't mean to imply that I shall be plagued by the blue screen of death with my clubs)
I'm actually quite excited to see what this change accomplishes, if anything. I'm hoping it provides some relief from the penalty for those not quite perfect smacks I put on the ball resulting in a more consistant result. Instead of being 5 yds short because I caught it a little toward the toe I'm more like 1.5 yds short. That at least is the theory. And lastly a hearty thanks to Bernard, plus1, for parting with these beauties at such a reasonable price!
Now that is funny Shoe lol Blue screen of death
Good luck with the change . As you know I tried it a couple of years back and gave up .
Back to blades once again . But one look at my sig and you would also see that .
Have played 4 times this year now . Still above 80 . But playing better .
Guess after my year + break should not expect too much and guess what ? I don't .
Later Guys .

Sorry to hear Shoe . I know what it's like . Had to take insulin after my operation for awhile and will always have to watch my blood suger level for the rest of my life .
Glad to read that everyone else is doing well .
Have played a few times now and am starting to get back into playing . But now I find I am in need of a new driver
I guess it never ends does it . lol
Take care guys and remember Fairways and Greens .

Good for you Shoe . Glad you had fun . Rainy season has started here already , so I don't know when or even if I will get out this year again .
I wonder what the rest of the old clan are doing these days ?? Any idea Shoe . Since it seems that some never post anymore .
Is therew another site that I do not know of that everyone else hangs around at ???
Yeah accidents like that can be pretty scary , I rolled a tractor trailer back in the 80's so I know what it's like . :tsg_smilie_whistle:

Hey guys . How is everyone these days ??
Myself am well as can be , no problems right now so am keeping my fingers crossed .
Have actually played once since I have been home . Not the best round of golf ever but I can't and won't complain since it was over a year since I had played . All I will say is I broke 90 . :tsg_smiley_yes:
Only thing is I think I need a new driver , so if you have any suggestion pass them on please , :tsg_smilie_money3:
Decided after the round to put the clubs away again till next year though and start from scratch.
Still riding my bike but am looking at a new one once again , just have yet to decide what to buy .
Right now it is a toss up between a Victory or a custom built bike .
Take care guys and fairways and greens .

Good news guys . Get to go home finally , am waiting till Tuesday though so I don't have to fight the long weekend crowd for a ferry to the Island .
Will not be going back to work as of yet , the Doc told me to take my time and get back into it slowly . So I will :tsg_smiley_yes:
He did give one piece of real good news though . I can start golfing again tomorrow if I want . So thats right kiddies back to the links after a year off . :tsg_smilie_cool:
Now if I can just stay away from the B/S/T I will have it made in the shade .

Hey guys! I'm still alive, in Iowa, but still alive. Mike, great to hear you're doing well! I need to do some reading catch up on this post but it looks like everyone is well. BTW, I haven't bought a new set of irons in over a year. My Joe K'd J33 combos are just that good. The driver is a different story but they never behave.
Iowa , did I read that right . Iowa ??? What the hell is in Iowa :tsg_smilie_whistle: . Do they even have golf course's in Iowa ?? :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
What happened to Texas Bro ??
So that's where you have been hiding . Are you hiding out from the Mob or the IRS . LOL
Mike

Hey guys . How are you all doing . Myself am doing real well , and have no complaints at all .
Not that you guys would give my any sympathy anyways :tsg_smiley_yes:
But thats all right . Am really starting to get the itch right now for some fairways and greens .
But will be waiting for the spring time for sure .

About time Girl !!!!
I quit myself back in October , not like I really had much choice in the matter .
Has been real hard for me as I am having big time cravings for Cuban Cigars . But have been able to ignore them so far .
But no such cravings for cig's at all which I am extremely happy about .

Ah Mike..I understand the too many people thing...exactly what you don't need. Hope you get home soon. But until then...I repeat "sponge baths"..I'm with Alan that you may be jumping the gun a little early on the ho-ing thing, but that could just be the steroids talking.
Funny game indeed Pete...no wonder there are 600,000 instruction books out there, all with the design of confusing us.
I haven't played in a week but am headed to Bergamont Golf Club Monday which is an Andy North/Bob Packard design. I'll take some pictures and post them when I get back and make the time. Also headed to The Springs which is a Robert T Jones Jr design.
Thanks for the nice words Chris..we are for sure abby-normal in several ways
Your funny shoe , in fact you slay me :tsg_smiley_laughatyou:
Some news to keep you all informed , NO MORE SPONGE BATHS . Hee Haw am now allowed to have showers , won't tell you how long it has been with out but I am sure you guys are all sm,art enough to figure that one out :tsg_smilie_whistle: :tsg_smilie_wink: :tsg_smiley_yes:
Sorry to disappoint you but am not taking any steroids , no need as am healing just fine Thank you very much lol
And I am serious about the NO Hoing , have other things that are now way more important than buying every new club that hits the market . Took me long enough to realize that one can not buy a golf game . Sad aint it , only took me about 12 years to figure that out :tsg_smilie_sad:
Any ways guys , I guess that Andy and Lance are in hiding now that I come around more often :tsg_smilie_confused: :tsg_smilie_wink:
Wonder what theys be up to these days .
Take care guys and I'll be back
:tsg_smiley_yes: .
