Gocchin; Thanks for your reply. It was very helpful. Do you know if Callaway makes 8.5* in the Tour? I know you said the Tour is low launching but I'm always split between 9.5 and 8.5, so I had to know.

The two models that I'm most interested in for 2010 are the Callaway Legacy Tour driver and the new 2010 XXIO driver. Does anyone have any experience with either of these? I couldn't find much information about these drivers on here or gofwrx. Any comments will be appreciated.

Exactly what I'm thinking. This is the first TM iron I've ever consider playing but don't understand the soft cast thing. Why couldn't they just forge the heads? I'll probably try them though because the head profile is one of the best I've ever seen.

Is this a joke? What is this supposed to mean? The only real situation would be that you're the CEO of Callaway and you want to have me as one of the Callaway staff players. And I don't mind being one. Just give me a few days to think and try the TM irons. lol..

Thanks for the great info and writeup. What do you hear about the new GD DI shaft? That is the one that will probably go in my new TourStage driver. I'm always a GD guy though.

Are these a Japan-only model?

I have Chikara Production model 51* and 57* and love them. The 57* is an excellent sand club as well as well as a lob wedge that I use off any lies. I used to carry 4 wedges but now only three: 46* (Epon AF-Tour), 51*, and 57*. I can play the 57* from any lies with open face.

The shaft in the 901 was the stock GD shaft in stiff. I'll probably go with the DI-6 for the 703. Maybe a combination of a 8.5 head and DI-6 will produce too low a trajectory? Don't know.

Well, I got to talk to one of the distributors in US and happened to see one of his order forms, which shows the address of the shipper. That address was in Taiwan. Is Terry Wang in Taiwan Epon's international distributor, then? I wonder why they ship to US from Taiwan, though. Do they ship from Japan to the international distributor in Taiwan, and the distributor in Taiwan ship to US, then? I'm confused.

Is the last picture (of the club face) of the 703? I like the fact that the face depth is significantly deeper than the 901 because the shallow face was the only complaint I had about the 901. Gocchin, can you comment on the trajectory of the 703? I'm trying to decide between 8.5 and 9.5 on the 703. If you can compare the 901 and 703 in terms of trajectory, that'll be extremely helpful. The 9.5 901 was perfect for my swing but I'm leaning towards 8.5 on the 703 as I'm expecting it to be higher than the 901. I won't know until I hit the 703, though.

My only complaint about the 101 was that it hit the ball too high for a 9.5 driver. The same loft in the TS X-Drive 901 gave me a perfect trajectory with a comparable shaft. So, my driver for 2010 will be the TS 703 instead of the Epon 151. I'm debating between 9.5 and 8.5 on the TS 703, though. I'm leaning towards 8.5 as I'm expecting it to produce a little higher trajectory than the 901. Am I on the right track???

As far as I know all the Epon heads are shipped from Taipei, Taiwan. I have the exact address of the shipper, too.

I haven't kept myself updated for almost a year about the latest offerings of driver shafts. A brief survey indicates that GD EV models and Mitsubishi Kai'li model are receiving good feedback. Which one would be the better choice for my new driver? What else would you recommend?

I agree with Gocchin. A better definition of JDM, however, should be "a product that is made "exclusively" for "Asian" market. "Exclusively" because JDM products are not available in other regions. "Asian" because they're available anywhere in Japan. In this sense, they must be called AEM, "Asia Exclusive Models."

Has anyone tried PRGR Egg 13*? I'm debating between SF-206 15* (bent to 14*) in my bag and the PRGR Egg 13*. I can hit 3 woods high so I'll probably go with the 13* for more distance. I've been pretty happy with the SF206 with the 73 blueboard, but I feel it's about time to change. If I'm convinced that I can hit the ball 10 yards longer with the PRGR than with SF206, I'll definitely switch. My driver SS is 103. Any comments will be appreciated.
