Chris: We expect a full report with Nippon 1150 GH's based upon your recent purchase. I'd especially be interested in the 5 gram head difference and swing weighting.

So are these simply going to have a deeper cavity compared to the MP60 and the weightshelf of the MP27s spread almost uniformly in the cavity back?

Looking for an uncut, 39.5" labeled Nippon 1150 stiff blank shaft.

Looking for a set of 3-pw Nippon 1050 or 1150 stiff to experiment.

Custom clubs aren't getting cheaper, be it MP27's or MP60's.

I'd appreciate if any board members might be able to offer some insight in comparing these two forged irons from Mizuno.

I was afraid that the stock stiff 1150 might be too stiff for my liking. My alternative thought is to get regular 1150's and hard step or again take stiff 1050's and hard step.

I'm currently trying to decide between these two shafts in a set or irons. I'd appreciate board members comments and experience comparing these two shafts. I currently have the stiff 1050's but also play 5.5 Rifles and have a 103 MPH driver swing. I find the 1050's very smooth and comparable to the 5.5's except for a softer flex. My intent was to hard step new 1050's to obtain a closer 5.5 frequency. I've heard that the hard stepped stiff 1050's freq. in the 5.6 - 5.7 range and the stiff 1150's in the 6.0 - 6.2 range. Thoughts?

Yes they are a great shaft and I heard the there is even a new shaft out called the 1150 Tour. I wonder if Chris has any information?

I have a set of Mizuno MP-27's with stiff 1050GH shafts. I'd like to find a source for individual wedge shafts to replace the stock DGS300 shafts in my Mizuno MP wedges. Any assistance?
