Try some Mother's Mag Wheel polish. It's a great polish for almost any metal. I use it all the time on my clubs - just not on the paint. I get mine at WalMart in the auto section. Any auto parts store should have it. About $4.00 - worth a try. You'll find other stuff you will want to use it on as well.
