    Black Oxide on Stainless is not as durable as any plating- In time with any kind of Nornal use , it will wear. If you recall 20 years ago Ping had the "Black Satin" series- this was Black Oxide on stainless. I have made many with this finish on stainless- and it can be inconsistant as far as wear. Thanks geo
