    Driver Fitting and the Titleist Launch Monitor

    I currently own a Titleist 983E 7.5 degree with a Graffalloy Prolite 35x shaft. I'm a 6 handicap with a high swing speed. But I'm looking to improve my consistancy with my driving. Some days I can consistantly driver the ball 280-300 yards straight...and other days I struggle with losing my drives high and right. Now many might say that I should have a good PGA Pro take a look at my swing to correct the issue...but I'm an equipment junkie and I'm intrigued by the Titleist Launch Monitor (the monitor was shown on the Golf Channel last night) and the benefits it would give me in determining the best club head, loft, and shaft for me. Having said all this...and knowing that I called Titleist and they won't have a launch monitor in my area (Sacramento, CA) until November 2005...HOW THE HECK CAN ANYONE GET A GOOD DETERMINATION ON THE CLUB HEAD, LOFT, AND SHAFT CONFIGURATION THAT WOULD BE BEST FOR ME?? DO MOST GOOD PROSHOPS HAVE SIMILAR LAUNCH MONITORS...AND CAN I TRUST THE SHOPS FITTER TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND QUALIFIED TO FIT ME CORRECTLY? Thanks for any comments..... :money:
