  1. That's a little of what I am worried about. I prefer the D2-D3 weight as well. I guess I will have to have my club builder work some magic to bring up the SW. I might just have to go with a heavier shaft (I guess that will help with the swing weight??)
  2. Any idea what the swingweight of the X-Drive GR shafted with the XCon 5 at 44.75" would be? What are the typical weights of these heads?
  3. Do you mean "long" in length of shaft - meaning 45.5" - 46" or long as in produced long drives? The reason I ask is that I'm probably going to play my driver at 44.5" - 44.75" in order to try to gain more control (and maybe even more distance due to hitting the sweet spot more often).....Having never tried that shaft, my concern is the weight might be too light for me because I have a fairly quick tempo and transition.....I'm afraid this might make that even worse. I will definitely give it some consideration, however. Thanks for the suggestion.
  4. Yeah, I need high-ish launch which is why I went with the 10.5* head (that and it's a little more forgiving). I like the thought of the whiteboard to help reduce the spin from the added loft while giving/maintaining a high/flat trajectory. I might also consider the Ozik F7m2.....but definitely a lower spinning shaft. Just to be difficult, however, I'm also considering high-launch, low spin shafts such as the Ozik Altus.....I guess if the spin is low enough, the extra launch angle wouldn't hurt...... Any thoughts or recommendations?
  5. I agree, gocchin - that was some great suff, Bat. Thanks!!! I think I'm going to give the X-Drive GR a try. Now I just have to figure out which shaft I want -- kinda leaning towards the Diamana Whiteboard......Any thoughts?
  6. Well, I'm currently a 5.1 GHIN (up from 2ish last year -- had a baby), but the driver is the club that gets me in trouble. My ss ranges from 103 - 109ish. My ballflight is typically middle range in terms of launch (not too low, but certainly not too high). I was thinking of going 10.5 degree in the GR head and maybe a lower spinning shaft. I've never hit any of the Tourstage drivers which is why I'm asking so many questions. I really don't know just how low they launch. The drivers I've used lately include: Titleist D2 with Ozik F7M2, Callaway FT-i with XCon 6, Callaway FT-5 with Epic, and SuperQuad with Ozik Altus.......LOL -- too many drivers, I know.
  7. Interesting takes.....I think the GR's high launch (compared to the X-Drive) probably means it's a better fit for "more" players......Are the spin rates comparable, or will the GR spin more (a little or alot?)?
  8. Thanks!!! Do you know if any shafts fit particularly nicely with this head? I know it will largely depend on the player and the swing, but sometimes some shafts seem to fit nicely with particular heads.....
  9. Now that it's been out for a little while, I was hoping to get a little more feedback on this driver. I know it's supposed to be *higher* launching (at least compared to the TS 460), but how are spin rates -- is this considered low, mid or high spin? I'm thinking about dumping my Titleist D2 and picking up one of these, but I'd kinda like to know what this head would compare to (preferably US drivers).......Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Well, my bag is all over the place: Driver = Titleist D2 3 wood = Adams 3070DF Hybrid = Taylor Made Irons = Gauge Design NC-1s Wedges = Scratch and Epon Putter = Gauge Design Neo Leap Mallet I am, however, beginning to consider some new irons for next year.....Kinda considering trying the Epons, Scratch, TM R7s, or maybe even Yururi CBs......
  11. The F7M2 is a great, great shaft. Great recommendations for what you're looking for Mr. D.....
  12. Anyone have any other suggestions before I throw darts to pick one??? Thanks.
  13. Are the Mizuno bags smaller than the giant tour staff bags, or pretty close to the same size? I'm really trying to find something that is carryable, if necessary (but unlikely), and not just huge. LOL....I'm not sure I'm making much sense - describing it very well. Thanks for all your help, gocchin and idrive.
  14. HOw would the Mizuno compare to the Adidas bag, IYO?
  15. Weight doesn't matter too much. I don't need a superlight or anything, but I don't want to lug around a trunk, either. I'm kinda looking for a "mini" staff bag. I don't want something quite that big, but I definitely want something larger than the Ogio stand bag I have now. As far as material preference, I don't really care too much. LOL - I know I'm not really helping that much, but I really don't care. I just want something that looks nice and a littel unique. I could go with the polyurethane (or whatever the plasticy-leather stuff is) or a nice, quality nylon. Pockets -- I would like a fair amount. I don't carry an obscene amount of stuff, and I'd rather have too many pockets than not enough pockets. One of the questions I have is what's the difference in a "caddy bag" and a "cart bag?" Is a caddy bag just another way of saying "staff bag?" Is a "cart bag" typically smaller than a "caddy bag?" Some of the bags the pique my interests, but I just can't quite tell how substantial they really are include: 1.) Mizuno Japan Cart Bag 45CM-006 2.) Titleist Hybrid Stand Bag CBSH71 3.) Adidas Authentic Caddy Bag K6671 4.) TourStage Golf Bag CBTS66 5.) Mizuno Pro Series Caddy Bag 45CM80010 6.) Taylormade Authentic Caddie Bag II CB103 Thanks for any help!!!!
  16. Hey guys and gals, I need a little help picking up a new golf bag. I typically ride these days, so I'm looking for a nice cart bag. I guess that's what these are called -- a bag larger than a stand bag but smaller than a staff bag. I'm in the States, so I'm kinda interesed in something a little different (probably Japan issue). I've looked thru the Pro Shop on here, but I'm not too good at figuring out just how big some of these bags are. Any help/suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.
  17. These will perform fairly similarly......I don't think you would be disappointed with either.
  18. Well, I'll disagree with how they perform. I have the f7m2 proto in a Titleist D2 and the shaft performs remarkably well. It definitely lowered the flight and spin. This combo easily outperformed the Cally offerings for me.....
  19. Leap M is fantastic!!!!! BUT, the headcover absolutely sucks!!!! My putter already has more dings in it than all putters I've ever owned put together.
  20. For Sale: 1.) The Ultimate Fairway Finder -- Tour Issued Callaway FT-i 9.5* Draw with an Ozik XCon 6 stiff shaft. It's in 8.5 condition (conservatively - only marks are a couple of ball scratches on the face as seen in pics). Swingweight is D2-D3. Headcover is included. Will not split head and shaft. Not interested in trades at this time. Asking $795 shipped via FedEx ground. 2.) Nickent 3DX 21.5* (4+) with the XCon Altus hybrid stiff shaft. This club is in 8.5-9.0/10 condition (conservatively - crown pics have dust - those are NOT nicks or scratches). Only hit approximately 25-30 balls. Headcover included. Will not split head and shaft. Asking $195 shipped, but also open to trade offers for another hybrid in the 21* - 22* range with a decent shaft.
  21. Maybe slightly off topic, but how do the satin wedges compare to the coppers in terms of feels, etc? OR, is the only difference basically the aesthetics? Thanks.

I'm looking for some sort of high end wedge (56-58*) with a stiff shaft. I'm kinda thinking along the lines of Epon, Yururi, etc. I'd like something in pretty good condition (8.5 or better)....I'd go new, but I'm trying to save a few funds if possible. Let me know if you guys have anything. Thanks.

Anyone know how this would compare to the Epon X wedge? I'm tryin to decide on a new 56-58* wedge and all of those choices are making my head spin.....
