What kind of car do TSGers drive?
agoodgolfer replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearYou could be in a vovlo and you'll still be picking up the pieces. I can think of many "sports cars" where I'd actually want to get in a wreck.

General BS Thread
agoodgolfer replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearIts been a long time since I've posted in this thread. Can't believe its still going. So I took another break from golf. This time it wasn't planned or something I was doing consciously. Some things in life seemed to be taking up a lot of time and golf didn't have priority over any of them. Yesterday was the first time in a month and a half since I had a real practice session. I went to the range a few weeks ago to try and teach my girl friend, but you guys know how those go - I hit 10 balls and they were all to show her specifics of the swing... I spent about 2 hours at the course yesterday hitting 80 balls and spending the last hour chipping and putting. For some reason the first time I practice after a break I always hit the ball really well. I was striping them on the range, and was chipping in from all over the place. Putting was pretty good as well. I missed a few short ones, but I was still able to lag the ball really well. I'm sure I'll go out there in the next couple days and start shanking them. I feel like the first practice session after a break is like the first day on a trip to Las Vegas - you always win therefore you wanna stay and play more ( I swear they rig the tables and mark people as "fresh blood" hahaha... ) - Enough of my rambling, time to get some work done. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend. Chris

What kind of car do TSGers drive?
agoodgolfer replied to zojo's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearIts true. Civics may plague the high schools but the true tuners know what they're doing. They're the ones we can thank for cars like this: Ariel Atom 2 One of the fastest street legal cars in production today, and by far the cheapest. Here is track times vs cost from a well known Euro car show called Top Gear. Its a Civic Type R engine supercharged and thrown together with a chassis and only the essentials. It puts out 300+ hp and does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. They raced it around a street track and it beat a Honda CBR 600 RR by almost 4 seconds. Here is a 9 min extract from the Top Gear series if you're interested in taking a peak. http://www.openwheelers.com.au/videos/Top_...ull_segment.mpg Chris

April 17th - TSG Tournament - 1st Place: Gauge Design Balde
This is true. We've had people do it in the past and place, therefore they make a few bucks without even playing. Chris

Exactly, The poker is very very fun. If you ever watched poker on TV or walked by it in Vegas and wanted to play but too scared to try it this is the PERFECT format. You play no money, and can win a $300 putter! Then if you want you can play .01/.02 with a $1 for hours. Very fun. BTW: started with $20 and now up to $28.50 (with a $5 all in bet loss) Very fun. Chris, I hope the game takes off like it should, and we can get 50 or more persons by next weekend. Matt I just heard back. The rescheduled for next Sunday. Its set up with the same password. I'll send out another e-mail tonight to make sure everyone knows. Chris

We can only schedule 1 tournament at a time for now. Most cant even have private tournaments until they have 50 players. We were allowed to because of my past experience with the site and the affiliate manager. When we get 50 members, I can sign up 4 at a time. Chris

We're in the PL table called Starburst

April 17th - TSG Tournament - 1st Place: Gauge Design Balde
A few have expressed through PM that they were running late. A prime example of why registering prior to the tournament date makes sense. A few of us are going to play the at the micro limit tables since the tournament was canceled. We'll be in the small NL or PL rooms if anyone wants to join us. Chris

April 17th - TSG Tournament - 1st Place: Gauge Design Balde
Nope. The tournaments have to be in the systems 5 days prior. The soonest we could do it next is Friday. I'm going to have it rescheduled for Sunday the 17th. I sent an e-mail to 22 members and soon to be members. We shouldnt of had anyproblem filling the 15. I'm sure there were more then a few that tried to sign up but were just too late. I'm sorry of my posts seem negative. I'm just a little frustrated. Chris

I send out a new e-mail 4 days prior to each tournament. I posted in this thread a few days ago to let everyone know I sent them out. Send me a Pm with your e-mail and so I can verify its correct on the list. You may also want to check your spam filter. If it was filtered, tell it to allow future emails from my address. Chris

April 17th - TSG Tournament - 1st Place: Gauge Design Balde
I wish people would take my advice and register for the tournament early. We only had 9 people with 15 mins to go. A few signed up with just minutes to go. I noticed others online. We only had 13 members with 3 mins to go. I tried to get some non members in because we need 15 minimum. Couldnt salvage the tournament. I'll try to get the tournament reschedule for next weekend. Why do Pro's bother wearing golf shoes at tournaments.......
If your golf shoes dont offer any more traction then your running shows you're wearing the wrong shoes. Besides, many pros still use metal spikes.
