Forging - I need more Info. on Miura vs. Endo vs...........
Muria is the best because they have a very limited run size, so the irons that come from there are usually not cheap and people then think that means they're better. Muria to Endo forging wise... no difference. O.K. what makes the difference in forging Main Alloy, mixture of coatings or magic and hype? You have now officially lost me :( I do believe that Joe has stated in another post here somewhere that copper layer by it's self will not give the soft feeling . That there has to be a nickle layer also applied with the copper to get the soft feeling . Now if it is before or after I don't recall . Sorry :) yeah its something like that... I remember the guy from TourSpec Refinishing saying that a Copper underlay with cause the chrome to wear harder too. We are all losing site of one thing... what is "feel"? what causes something to be "soft" According to Scotty Cameron feel is our brain decoding the sound of impact... kinda like how taste and smell are related... so if this is true then I would say shape, cavity design, and shaft have more to do with "feel" than the metal or the plating.

TM Forged Irons
The Japanese ones cost more. Actually I haven't heard anyone able to tell me the difference. I have heard that the ones that have the made in Japan sticker on them are actually forged in Thialand by Endo. The only way to get Muria for sure is get a tour set.

bag is set for spring (i hope...)
hoffman was the best AMERICAN forging house. (we all know the top forgers in Japan don't we?) the wedges are not as soft as other forged wedges but they've got some SICK grooves that just propel the ball whizzing away w/ tons of spin. the blue wears off kinda easy tho giving them the 'pro sweet spot' look  I thought hoffman was considered to be the best period? Isn't that who Tiger has do all of his forgings? Guy correct me if I'm wrong , but didn't hoffman close there door's and go out of business ?? That could be true... I just remembered that they did all of Titliests high profile forgings back in the day and I figured Tiger would have Nike forge his irons at the same place.

R7... could this spell the end of the Tour Issue...

And the fun begins ...
BSG's ban on ebay links also has to do with thier changing for BST posts... you could get around paying them by posting a link to your sale and making it look like you were asking if it was legit. The rule makes sense...

Driver shaft lenghth. short? long? accuracy? distance?
please remember that the bore depth of the 983 is 3.5" as per 1 1/4" for normal bore depths, this makes the shaft specs change, plus the 983 is designed to reduce spin, ie if you hit it from the top of the face it will reduce spin due to gear effict. depending on your true clubhead speed depends on shaft/lunch angle etc, come and see me in Irelands I use the swing dynamics BFM to fit euro tour players, remamber the shorter the shaft the easier the club is to hit. regards robert I thought the K increased spin and the E decreased? Also doesn't the reverse gear effect increase spin as well...? I have never really read into it... with a 983 if you want the shaft to play to its specs just get out builder to only insert it 1.25"

R7... could this spell the end of the Tour Issue...
Are you sure they are made in different facilities... ??? Yes im sure. where are the two different facilities? Why is there a difference? What is your source? Its not that I doubt you, its that I have heard from others that they are made in the same place... Who have you heard from? Get over it philly.. stop post whoring .. .have you ever hit a tour club? I have hit a tour club. a friend of mine plays a lot of tour stuff... but he never does the internet thing... I hit the df and xd... it sure did make a different sound, but alas to me the 983 still took the cake in feel and distance. anyhow there is no need to get your panties in a bunch I just wanted a little more info so that when this topic comes up again I can be more informed. I was always told that the tour woods were the first runs... hence why sometimes there are running changes from tour to retail.

Parry's bag
he said in an interview that he just put those irons in his bag... I guess they'll be staying thier for a while. Are there any Callaway staffers still playing callaway irons?
