Is epoxy is epoxy is epoxy????
Saw your posts in the BST. My advice is to call Golfsmith or order online. For building Fly rods i use rod builders epoxy - for building golf clubs I use Golfsmith epoxy with the shafting beads in there already - I used to use conap - which is allso "common" epoxy. Spend the extra $4 and not worry on the first swing at the range.

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearThey are better than the ones I have received from sellers. The one of the mid on the grass with the two head covers is blurry - needs to be redone. Overall good job. Did you get my comment about the satin finish. Also ... not sure if it is possible to have someone dull out the finish

Ferrule Installation need help - thanks !
Never mind - I just got off the phone with Golfworks - they must be .335 instead of .355 - new ones are on the way free of charge.

Ferrule Installation need help - thanks !
Ferrules- the taper tip ferrules I just received from Golfworks are tighter than Sh!t, and I am having a hell of a time getting them to fit. I do not have a drill bit enlarge it just a bit, the dremel heats up the ferrule too much and I really wanted to get my irons done – today. Would acetone rubbed on the inside help?

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearPutters are funny that way – My Whit Hot 1 is my go to – bot I have a Newport 2 that I want refinished – and then ask myself – why? I always go back to the Odyssey. Since you have TM 300’s did you try a RAC MB? That may be an option and then you can mix in the 300’s if you like them.

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearAl – it was only one day –let it pass then try them again. I would have sold my TM 200 tour after my first go around with it. I love the head the sound and the feel. Now I hope I find a shaft to keep the flight down. My friend always says you cannot have enough putters and wedges. As to the Titleist irons try before you buy – there has to be plenty of used sets at the retailers or a demo set around. Blades just set up perfect. Was at my local shop getting shafts pulled out of my driver and 3 wood – and was checking out the KZG zero offset – very nice. Also I like the Mizuno combo set. At one point I was going to keep my 690 CB’s and buy 690 MB 6,7,8,9,PW. I had a make shift combo set or is it called a flow set now years ago consisting of Ram FX blades and FX2 cavity back for 3 and 4 irons – very sweet.

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI use to be the same way. My plan is to be down to my set plus an extra putter by Memorial Day. I just pulled the 757 out of my TP and put theNV65 in – I hope I like it and hope its like a Pro-lite on steroids. I have a GD 9.1 coming for the 3 wood and my PX’s are doweled and swig weighted ready to find their way into my 300’s once the ferrules arrive from Golfsmith By the way the dowel thing is very easy to do and if you have a drill you can do it for like $5.00. By the dowels at Sears Hardware, buy a steel rod a bit smaller than the 5/16 dowel and long enough to use as a plunger in your longest iron. Drill a small hole through each dowel – takes a little practice but you get 33 in a pack and then epoxy and plunge them down the shaft. In the PX’s they fit perfect. Keep it in mind the next time you put new grips on your clubs

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearPete – I keep track also – and yes some guys will poke some fun but BFD (Big F#cking Deal). Mike’s Philosophy is dead on and so is your new routine. When I played allot I did the same thing – found that one area and practiced – hopefully you greatly improve in that area and then jump to the next – and yes they are all important – some may also be mental – like keeping the ball in play off the tee – depending on how tight the course is – like my regular playground. By the way how’s the tour bag?

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearPete - just an FYI - they are not as big as you think. I can probably cram the same amount of stuff in my hoofer as I can my staff - however - it is just a simple joy to pull the clubs out without pulling a muscle. And you can toss like 20 clubs in there. Carry it on your left shoulder - maybe the hooks will go away

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearDon't think that would be a good idea pete :) The only part of AK's body that would do any stretching would be the eye's . You know he would be looking like this 8O  well even better would be the nude yoga video... its some pornstars doing yoga and pilates ect. its a real workout and eye candy and a real good way to talk the significant other into watching some porn with you. I'd do a search for it but I am at work and don't feel like getting fired.... well yet... No - that's O.K. on the porn star stuff. As far as Katherine - I wonder what the feedback is on her DVD's. I am not looking for a 1 hour workout each day - I already have a pretty set routine. Anyone have a short stretching routine ?

AKFLY replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWell we are going to have a similar situation... I'll be going back to school in Philly torwards the end of March and she's is stuck down here for the time being... we'll have to see how things work out. Hey today I was getting the 5i out to about 170!! with a 20 yrd hook on the end   ... I want my fade back!!! Uncle Snappy, Next thing you know he will be shafting evreything with an X and plus an additional 30 grams. Oh man I see it coming already... when I saw my 9i doing a 5yrd move left I decided maybe we'll keep the driver in the bag... as a matter of fact I didn't even take out a wood... I am going with that learn from the green back to the tee. I have finally realized that as long as I am putting it in play my driving is irrelevant. Evidence being hitting every single FW for an average distance of about 240 and still posting a big score in my last round. That's the best way pete . Practice your short game till you are sick of doing it . Then you put in another hour doing the samething  And by the time you are finished you will have the best short game of your group and nobody will take any money off of you . :) Mike good advise. My chipping sucks - period - even though i chipped in for eagle once this year - that was my only chip in - not good -must practice. Also - anyone have any advcie on stretching videos - gurus -I caught a piece on TGV with th eJacobs brothers. I need to work on my left hip - getting old sucks. Sorry about the number of topics - lot's on the mind.
