Project X
They do play stiffer than Rifles. My driver ss is 110 and I fly a 5-iron 180, and I'm very happy with the PX 5.0s. they also feel noticeably softer as you get into the 5.5 and 5.0s.

FS: new Miura CB-201/Blade 3-PW w/PX 5.5 +1/2", SST PUR
You are considering for purchase a new set of MIURA CB-201/Tournament Blade combo set, 3 through PW (3-6 irons in CB-201s; 7-PW in Tournament Blades), with Project X 5.5 shafts at +1/2" over standsard (38.25 5-iron), SST PURE'd. This set of irons was custom-built by GOLF LAB of Palo Alto, the authorized Miura dealer in Northern California. Golf Lab is also a certified Royal Precision and SST PURE shop. For more information about Miura and SST PURE: http://www.miuragolf.com/shop_cb201.asp http://www.sstpure.com/main.html The irons have only seen action on the driving range, with about 30 balls on mostly the 7, 4 and PW. I already own two other sets of Miuras, and had this set built to experiment with the 5.5 PXs (I'm using 5.0s with my particular swing speed). I paid $1500 to have this set built; A set of Miuras run $1,099 without the Project X upgrade, and SST PUREing runs $40 per club alone. $1325.00, PayPal only to confirmed addresses in the US. Buyer to pay for basic ground shipping.

Tiger and Miura?
That's what I thought.... although it wouldn't surprise me if Miura did forge his blades, but with Stites' design and the Nike stamp. I understand that Miura does and have been doing that for tour pros under contract with other companies. Those companies just want to make sure the cosmetics looks like their brand, but don't care about the raw material. I know and have seen Miura-forged Mizuno MP-14 blades on eBay, and Miura USA have told me that they can forge just about anything for $2000 and 8 weeks' wait.

Tiger and Miura?
http://www.angelfire.com/games5/tigerfan99/ "RECENT NEWS ON TIGER: UNKNOWN CLUB IN HIS BAG? Many stories have been written lately on Tiger's club's, the debate continues as to how good are his Nike Drivers. My opinion is the make good shoes, period. Leave golf club making to those who are experts at it. I think Tiger knows this, my spy's have noticed a different club in his bag lately. We had never heard of the club before but after researching the brand we discovered a true master of golf club making in his bag. The club is from the Master MIURA. Those not knowing this name should get ready to see the difference in skill this Master has compared to the mass produced clubs we are so used too. Check out the site and get ready to see a Tiger Secret, I bought a putter of the web site and I think it is the best putter I have ever touched. I know a Tiger secret, here is the site link www.miuragolf.com" DOES ANYBODY have an idea as to what this guy is talking about? Is Miura forging irons for Woods??

AEROTECH Shafts
I've got the ss-75 SteelFibre in a Launcher 460, and it's a fantastic shaft. The Cleveland tour van came through here three months ago, and I tried them all. The 8.5 Launcher with this shaft is a monster driver for me. Very stable shaft, good feedback, and not very expensive. The flight is more penetrating, and the dispersion was tight. It has been in my bag for the past month -- I have an R510 TP that is also a very good driver, but this 460 head is very forgiving, and with the Aerotech shaft, I'm hitting it as long as I ever did with the R510, and finding more fairways. The ss-85 is really nice in fairway woods.

Help..TM300 Miura, Tourstage us spec mr-23 or Miura 201
I currently play the Miura CB-201's, and they're working out pretty well for me (8.0 index, 105-110 swingspeed). They definitely have a distinctive feel, there's nothing out there quite like it -- the RAC CB 2004, yes, has that unmistakable Miura feel too. But the CB-201 is considerably more forgiving. I find the iron rather forgiving, compared to MP-30 or Titliest 690.CBs. It's not as compact as an MP-30, or even the 690.CB, but it helps out with more forgiveness. I'm about half a club longer with these than MP-30s, but I did my have lofts jacked 1 strong. You probably don't want to jack it up much more, as CB-201s doesn't have as much bounce as other irons in the market. I wonder if the design has to do with the turf golfers encounter in Japan or Taiwan, where bermuda fairways are prevalent. Nevertheless, these do a fine job up here in Northern California, on poa and/or bent/fescue fairways. I have Project X 5.0's mounted on my CB-201s. I normally play the x-100 soft-stepped, but so far so good. I'm getting a slightly lower ball flight, more penetrating. That's probably the shaft, not the head. Another thing about Miuras you should know is that they're "tour-weighted" -- I got my set built at an authorized Miura clubmaker, and they've told me that you generally don't want to go much beyond 1/2" over standard, or the club will start to feel heavy. I had mine built to 38.25 5-iron, and I'm thinking about having it brough down to 38".
