  1. Definitely a very nice looking driver. Yamaha has done great in the last few years with their driver designs. They usually do perform as good as they look!
  2. Good info. So what have you decided on the mix? 7-PW AF Tour?
  3. I let the contest go for a couple of days extra... last second entries good to 11:59pm Sunday EST. (^_^)
  4. New Adidas bags out this month and they look pretty good! The pro type is the top one and the middle one is standard. The stand bag is like a small version of the pro type.
  5. Similar design to MT-28 V3 J.Spec except its forged and uses the reverse taper blade topline like the standard V4. As Chris said it is a larger head and to keep weight down there is that groove in the back where weight is removed just like the previous generation.
  6. Iomic stickly light is the only model that comes with a 0.580 core the rest are all standard 0.600
  7. Most wedges are taper. The 208kgx are.
  8. Actually K's wedge shaft is taper.
  9. Come on guys... 2 days left. All you have to do is post to get a chance at some free stuff, who doesn't want free stuff?? (^_~)
  10. None yet but probably soon. I didn't like the most recent series either. Let's hope they do a redesign.
  11. I didn't see the progrerssion myself as I only had a 7 iron available to me a few weeks ago. I will go check them out. I still thought they felt great.
  12. More similar to NS Pro.. probably in between the 1150 and 1050 with a mid kick and raw weight just over 110g. They are only available in wedge flex.
  13. As everyone said here go the fairway route. I did. I tried carrying utilities and they are useful in some case but I m much more consistent with woods inlcuding occasionally a 9 wood. The Tourstage ViQ is a great choice, as are the Royal Collection Star FD or if you really want to try something different the Mizuno JPX A25. All conisderably easier to hit than a hybrid. And yes you will have to regrip as I mentioned to you in your email unfortunately.
  14. There's not much of a market for Romaro even in Japan. I think when you asked about the last time Tourspecgolfer pretty much summed it up: http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/t27820.html A used set of RD-02's shafted go for around 500 in Japan.
  15. Actually while I thought they were Zodia's best wedge feel wise and spin wise I actually had the same issue. I'm a digger and the US Specs also dug like mad for me... while they felt good and spun well (yes they destroyed balls), I didn't find them friendly to my swing.
  16. I never said it doesn't have a lot of spin. I said "it doesn't destroy balls". (^_^) It has adequete and controllable spin.
  17. Definitely, I've also seen them in the sale bins in Japan and not going anwhere even with steep discounts especially the island grind series and there is not much talk about Zodia these days. Those US Specs were their best wedges in my opinion.
  18. Welcome to the forum? Hopefully they are an improvement over the last few generations... Zodia has truly lost its luster in previous years with some unpopular models. They're not only unknown outside of Japan but were becoming that way in Japan as well.
  19. They were an early 2007 model... long sold out.
  20. They will be in the Pro Shop this weekend. (^_^)
  21. Yeah the new Aero is coming out right before the Japan Golf Fair (wow its that time of year already!) It is geared towards a similar level player ie better player but with a shallower face and deeper and more MOI than the original Legacy. It will also feature i-Mix interchangable shafts. It's touted as more forgiving and higher launching than the Legacy.
  22. You may have better luck asking for the Epon Type X, they are the same design and probably more readily available here.
  23. Great wedge especially for the price. I did a brief review here as did Goodsie: http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/t27298.html
  24. Even in japan second hand sets are hard to find... and still draw a premium price close to new... it's got like collectors item status. No wonder Yamaha is doing this again!
