  1. At the moment they are pretty much the same wedge as being released in the US. We're waiting to see if they do a limited run again like they did with the Liquid Chromes. So as of now, there does not appear to be any differences except for the M10dB and NSpro being offer as stock whereas in the US it's DG only for stock.
  2. Sorry to hear about the wedges D, but I'm glad that our discussions leading up to your decision to get the 701's with Axiv worked out great. I love my 701's and don't see myself changing them out for anything else even though I switch clubs like crazy.
  3. Sounds very promising! Straight is good, and once it warms up and your swing is in sync, you should be able to draw and fade this club. Definitely an aesthetically pleasing shape and design. the M3 Hit has been a best seller for a long time in Japan and they made it even better with this square faced more compact tour version.
  4. Hi Kent, Off the bat, it "appears" it's just a re-badging though there may be minute changes that I can't visually see. Once more info comes out we'll know for sure. Honestly it wouldn't make sense to me just to re-badge the SFI so there may be some changes we don't know about yet.
  5. Royal Collection is releasing it's new lineup called the cvXer. The cvXer driver is RC's largest ever at 460cc and is available in 9 10 and 11 lofts. There's also a new cvXer FW and Utility. The Pro TP FW for professional level and low handicap players is still part of the 2008 lineup. They've also added a new super forgiving iron, from the Star FD line. The FD Forged (most of us recognize this Endo forged head as the Type X iron!)
  6. Hi Apichart, yes the are very very soft, and many people mistake them sometimes for forged. A great set of irons!
  7. The driver is the one that came second in the D1 Grand Prix behind the Yamaha, when it first came out it got tons of coverage as having good distance... it was one of the first Japanese stock drivers to go over 46" in length stock.... everyone else has followed.
  8. So Golf Style reported that Daisuke Maruyama has gone from Titleist to Fourteen this season which will give Fourteen much more PGA exposure since Maruyama is a PGA regular. He's playing: JC707 9* Driver SF206 3 Wood UT306 Hybrid TC-1000 Forged MT-28 V3 Wedges... Let's hope he does well and helps promote some JDM!!
  9. From my experience... a shim makes no difference. It doesn't make the shaft thicker, it makes the hosel narrower. (^_^)
  10. We've moved quite a few sets of these but don't know if any of the buyers are forum members.
  11. Because your miss is right I'm almost inclined to suggest a regular Axiv Driver Shaft 7576M, it's X flex, 77g and is smooth with good kick and will help get the ball up in the air. Another option if you don't mind the light fade is to get a new Axiv X-7078 which has a firmer tip for lower spin and a mid launch. If you prefer something a little softer which results in more feel and kick a X-7074 which is SX flex will also do the trick.
  12. Let me find some time. I can definitely do this. Most manufacturers and all the magazines do "classify" all the irons to certain levels of players. In many cases some irons overlap different levels there are also many irons that target specific player level.
  13. P also forgot to mention an oldie but goodie... the Tourstage Z-101, no offset and practically a blade! Hard to believe they were my first irons!!
  14. Choice, Golf Style, Golf Digest Japan, Alba, Waggle, those are all Japanese magazines that frequently do DETAILED what's in the bag, I mean from shafts, flex, swingweight length etc on all JPGA JLPGA and even PGA pros regularly.
  15. There are probably lots (^_^). But that will depend on what target level of player you're looking for. The higher handicap/game improvment CB's you'll find big offset for sure. I can check the numbers but if you tell me what handicap you are I can at least focus on irons in that range (^_^).
  16. fenice is right on the money, flex is no longer just based on swing speed but your swing type. A flex too soft is not good for aggressive hard hitters with quick tempos and fast transition/wrist lag but for smooth swingers, a softer flex is much less detrimental. That said, I'm guessing you swing over 100 with the driver and based on that you are "probably" okay with an S. The feedback on the stock shaft has actually been very good. Good kick, good feel. The EMB shafts may play a touch softer too because of their increased length (46" standard).
  17. That bag is very popular and long sold out. We can't get anymore...
  18. Many play blades for the playability/workability but interestingly, I've started seeing more CB's including chunkier game improvement style irons lately on JPGA. Top pro Shingo Katayama has been playing Nike Ignite Irons with graphite and a Sumo 10.5* driver and his comments were... "why shouldn't I play these clubs, they are so easy to hit. Golf is already difficult as it is so my thinking is to get the most forgiving and easiest to hit clubs I can." I kinda agree... (^_^)
  19. I got a #4 and #5 egg for Xmas from my brother in law. Finish is typical PRGR, very good and classy. Nice headcovers and very nice shafts. Interestingly my brother in law sent me the #4 with PRGR Graphite and the #5 with Inpsec lightweight steel. I hit a couple of balls in the basement into the net and as Duffer said above it feels like a wood and is very easy to hit with it's wide sole and blunt leading edge. It's made complete of maraging steel so the ball feels like it rockets off the face (but of course I can't confirm that yet as I'm hitting them into a net). The lofts are very strong... 21* on the 4 and 23* on the 5. The 5 iron hybrid with steel has the prgr sticker on that says 23* and 190y. Let me tell you I would be the happiest person on earth if this club went 190 yards as a 5 iron replacement. I'll test with the PRGR shafts when I get a chance then will shaft both with my choice UT shaft from Graphite Design though the PRGR Graphite feels pretty nice. The clubs are also longer than the clubs they are supposed to replace by about 0.5". They are VERY popular in Japan among mid to higher handicappers who are looking for something to replace the long irons with. PRGR has had several recreational golfers start blogs chronicling their experiences with the EGG and they have all been very positive. What I found most interesting was that even lower handicappers have been experimenting with the EGG and loving them as a hybrid Iron/utility which is why I added them to the pro shop that way first to see if people were interested. I only put stuff in the shop that I personally approve of (^_^) haha... I did take some pics the other day when they arrived (same pics I put in the pro shop)...
  20. The CB-1006 definitely has very little offset as federerfan said. Others to consider with little offset are : ONOFF Miura CB247 Yamaha Inpres X V Forged TOUR Limited Fourteen TC-770 Forged P most lower handicap irons will have less offset then what you currently play. I'm talking bout the TS not r7 (^_^)
  21. No problem (^_^) I did stick a few others too in the driver gallery but no face pics yet. (^_^)
  22. This address pic was already posted in the other emb thread. I'll have to ask C to take some side by side face wise, the emb is basically shallower and wider face wise.
  23. You mean the other way around.... Endo was the one who was consulted on for the Sumo designs. They just made it better for their own EMB driver. (^_^)
