VAGolfNut2004
As a few people know I suffered a pretty devastating loss with the theft of my clubs, including the misc pieces. My home was burglarized and the insurance is trying to say that since the house is owned by my roomate that the insurance is not responsible for my loss. The agent knew that I lived here and I am on the policy for the cars. There is some hope they will pay off on the loss, but he's claiming some BS about changes to coverage that were instituted. Anyway that is my problem and if they refuse to pay then it will be awhile till I can financially think about replacing everything. This is unbelievably painful I had taken on extra jobs and scrimped to finally have my dream set only to get it taken after just a few months. I know it probably sounds silly to say that it hurts emotionally, but literally for the last few days I am in a daze and wondering what the hell I should do. The company I worked for went bankrupt in August and now this. Here is what was taken: All clubs Taylormade except putter. R7 10.5 MAS stiff 13* V-steel MAS stiff RAC CB TP from the limited edition miura forged release (pre retail) S300 3FW TP Mid Rescue with Irod Stiff RAC black 52* with UST 115 Pro Force Tour Iron (S) RAC 56* FE2O3 Tour Issued RAC 60* FE2O3 Tour Issued Scotty Cameron Studio 1.5 with Yellow Studio Cover TM Taylite Black carry/stand bag with white lettering If anyone sees such a list for sale please try and get all info you can especially the serial number - give the excuse you want to verify it with TM as being Miura forged. I know it's very unlikely this stuff will ever be recovered but I can hope. Also, realistically I have to make plans on replacing and as I said there is no way I can afford to do it all right now. In fact it will be difficult to do much of anything after some auto repairs that were much more then I expected. If anyone has any of the items described or something similar that you can sell at a reasonable rate or would consider sometype of terms on I would appreciate hearing from you. By the way I live in Northern Virginia and apparently there may be an organized group of thieves targeting golf course communities. As far as I know this is the first in my neighborhood, but another about 40 minutes away has had a rash of burglaries (20-30) in the last few weeks. VAGolfNut2004
It is now official the insurance company denied the claim. Despite telling them the agent never notified us of the change to the policy, they are sticking by the new policy issued with the provision that only family members are covered. Since we are not married my belongings are not covered what a crock of BS. Combined with the loss of my full time job I'm now faced with no golf for the foreseeable future as spending anywhere near the amount needed to replace my clubs is out of the question. I have a week at Hilton Head already paid for at the end of October that is now useless. If anyone is interested in taking over a condo rental that sleeps six and has golf included for four (afternoon tee times) send me a PM with an offer. I do have to see if the owner will let me transfer it but I think so. Thanks

naylit
I was just contacted by another member here who says the agent is at fault in this scenario. This member works in the insurance business and said to get a lawyer. PM me if you're interested in his handle. Sounds to me like it's time to get a new agent. VAGolfNut2004
I would love to talk with them. Of course one thing I need to consider is the attorney fees plus possible insurance rate increase versus cost of buying new sticks. Definitely worth hearing what they have to say. Breal
Too bad I know how it feels, I just went on a trip to find out, when I was gone, my $ tournament clubs were stolen. I'm livid and besides myself. It's an empty feeling and I know how you feel. I hope you get new clubs. :D :wah:
VAGolfNut2004
Man sorry to hear that, I know in my area there is apparently a "gang" or whatever you want to call it going around hitting golf course communities.
