OK

I am getting my MR-23cbs reworked and I need to strip the chrome and copper.

Would I loose any softness by leaving the copper off?

I have a great idea but I don't want to loose that feel. Is the copper just for the chrome or does it soften the feel?

Thanks

Matt

From what I understand copper softens the feel. I'm curious how much more it is to add the copper layer though. I'm thinking of picking up a used set of tn87s and doing the same thing.

The TN87 should have the copper already.

Yeah, it does. But want to rechrome a set and what I've been told is the process will take the copper off as well.

Then get the copper put back on for sure. I had a Miura wedge redone, copper off then you have to put it back on.

Copper is softer than raw... no question about it.

Are you sure?? The copper then gets chromed! I have had some really nice raw stuff, Zodia wedges ect..

The MR-23s should be a very soft casting! I'm thinking of doing a Black Oxide coating to them, Like the black Ox Wedges from Mizuno.

I would love to get some more opinions
