I have messed around with black oxide finishes a little but have never got the results that I am after. I just ordered some black oxide concentrate from Caswell (Thanks Paul :cool: ) and plan on mixing up a gallon for dipping.

Can someone run me through the steps from start to finish to get some nice results. Tips on head prep, etc.... How many times should I dip the club etc.

You must bring it down to the bare metal first.

Then the brighter the buff the smoother the finish, rougher the more matte. You dip I think 10 min max and then you need to seal it. Do a search there are a few good articles on doing it.
