drnagata
I am looking into purchasing these irons with the NS Pro 950 GH WF. I need some feedback from those using these sticks. How are the feel and forgiveness of these irons? I am trying to decide between the 704 titliest with the 970 Ns pro and the X blade CB with the 950 GH. 10-footer
Pros: Great feel, extremely forgiving on mis**ts. Most forgiving premium forged iron on the market. Cons: A little too much offset for my taste, the topline is a hair too thick (However, they are still in my bag) Overall: Best feeling, most forgiving premium forged CB on the market. If you don't mind the looks of the 704s, then the X Blade CBs will work fine for you. The 704s are not in the same league when is comes to quality, forging, etc. There are Japanese Tour versions with thinner toplines and less offset but I have never seen any for sale. Hope the info. helps, 10-footer
Guest
I owned a set of the 704.cb's with x-100 shafts. They lasted 7 holes before I took them out of the bag. I own a set of the 690.cb's and wanted to try the 704's. To me, they felt just like the 762's. Not a forged type feel IMO. I purchased a set of the X-Blade CB's about two weeks ago. They have S-200's in them. I was on a Tourstage HO kick and always wanted to try them. I play the MR-23 US Blade and wanted a forgiving forged cavity back to play with until the rust of my layoffs wears off. All I can say is that they feel real GOOD. I might just leave the blades in the backup bag. In fact, I just came back from the range where I was very happy with my session. Feel is sweet when hit solid, muted but not punishing when you miss the sweet spot. No vibrations up the arm. I lost maybe 1/2 club. My misses are usually right. I thought the long irons were easy to hit and really launch the ball in the air. You get tourstage quality and feel. Offset doesn't bother me. I just care where the damn ball goes. They knocked the 690.cb's out of the bag and onto ebay.
