Zip,

Thanks. You're saying the 553 Stiff is for 95 - 110 ss? That's quite a wide range. So for a 100 ss, should a stiff be tipped for a 1.25 inch hosel depth (R510TP Tour)?

Also, is it a hard shaft to load?

Wf - I just got out of a 553 S untipped playing in an R7 Tour. Here's why; The 553 is a great feeling shaft - but for my 101-104 MPH smooth swing - I found it a bit hard to load. I am much happier with a SIX S which has higher torque rating but feels better for my smoother swing.

Understand the 553 can really stand up to giving it the gas - and so IMO, I'd say is more for a hitter. It produces a high, flat trajectory. Not too dissimilar to the SIX - but with less "feel" for me.

I'm going to be trying the 569 to see if its easier to load - then go onto the SIX which I know works well for smooth tempo and at that 100+ MPH swing. Hope this helps. T
