t_crane78
Does anyone know on any websites that may show photographs of whats in professional golfers golf bags, like clubs, etc. I know that golfopinions.com, clickandsavegolf.com, golfdigest.com, and thegolfchannel.com all list and or show pics, but most of the ones listed I have already seen. I know there is a magazine in Japan call Classic Golf, but where I live I cant any copys of it, let alone be able to read it. Any help would be great. indacup
That would be nice./..especially if it was kept current. There used to be a website called: "inthebag.com" and it USED to do it.
leftyglfr
Do you think a monthly or qtrly magazine featuring this info and bag pics would be a good seller here in the states? I know that I would buy it! In my opinion, the best part of Golf Digest these days is the "What's in the bag" section...
freddiec
I agree, the golf digest whats in the bag is great. Did you ever notice when your watching golf on Nbc, abc, or whatever network they never pan to the bag. I think the guys with the cameras are told to not even go near the bag with the camera. Maybe they don't want any free advertising.
t_crane78
I totally agree about the best part of Golf Digest is the What's in the Bag section. To be honest, and probably its the only reason I still get golf digest. I think that a magazine here in the states that would come out monthly with what's in the pro's bags would be great. I would like to get my hands on a copy of a Japanese magazine called Golf Classics, because they do a monthly feature on clubs in different pro's bags. However, its difficult for me to get a copy of the magazine here in Cent. Kentucky, let alone be able to read it. A friend on mine how gets to play in some pro-ams told me that the television networks are not allowes to look closely at the pro's bags because of prototypes and clubs that are not out on the market yet. She told me one time that one of the pro's her husband was playing with had a one off set of clubs he was trying out for Callaway or something like that, and that he had to keep head covers on all the clubs and couldnt talk to anyone about the clubs. No equipment company would want to support a magazine that shows someone playing clubs that are different than what they tell people he's playing. I've got a friend who's a former mini-tour pro, and he ran into a problem of his sponsor not wanting people to realize what he was playing. He'd previously been with TM, during the Burner era of clubs, so the orange coloring in the cavity was very noticable to anyone paying attention. He then switched sponsors, and didn't switch to different clubs right away so they made him paint the cavity of his irons black so no one could tell what he had. I almost bought an old 975 D that was painted TM orange years ago, just because it was different. Also, there was a pretty good chance it was some sort of touring pro's club at some point, unless someone just had to have that ugly orange colored head.
