November 27, 200421 yr ok, i found this site for fitting. based on ur height and wrist-to-floor measurement they could show u what specs u needed in legnth of shaft and lie angle. here r the two links: http://prolinecustomgolf.com/golf_club_len...tting_chart.htm http://prolinecustomgolf.com/golf_club_lie...tting_chart.htm my measurements: height: 5'8" wrist-to-floor: 33" based on these measurements, i need my shafts .25" short and a standard lie angle. is this accurate information to go by? and will that .25" shorter make a big difference?
November 28, 200421 yr Mike from Canada, The chart makes no allowance for how you get the club to the ball at impact. This is the key flaw of any static fitting chart. Go to a qualified fitter (www.proclubmakers.org is a good place to look for one) and hit from a lie board. Most often you will find differences from the dynamic lie fitting as compared to static length charts. The dynamic fitting is always more accurate. Jeff
November 28, 200421 yr Author alright cool. just to make sure. there an easy way to tell my lies not right? if i start hitting shots left or right all the time its bc my lie is wrong right?
November 28, 200421 yr Mike, A sign that lies are too upright are shots that are pulled left of target. Shots pushed right are a sign that the lie may be too flat. These examples are for right hnaded golfer. Jeff
November 28, 200421 yr Author alright, then i know standard is fine. i rarely lose a shot left. if i do, its bc i aimed there. and when i hit it right, again its aim.
