Posted December 2, 200420 yr Anyone know a good way to refinish a 2-ball dfx blade putter without damaging the insert? The paint/finish on mine is chipping like crazy and I'd like to put a new finish on it.
February 17, 200520 yr Is it a center shaft or a double bend? If it's a center, you're golden. A standard putter shaft will work. If it's a double bend, good luck finding the proper shaft to make it look right - if you do, please let me know. I'd love to know where to find them. To avoid damaging the insert, take a wet cloth and drape it all the way around the face and 2 balls on top. Make sure the rag is soaking wet and covers them completely. Use a blow torch on the head for about 5-7 seconds and twist off.

Double the tape if you have to make sure strong enough to handle the blast. You can leave the blast finish if you like them or you can send it to a powder coating place to repaint them. I would chose a teflon base paint for that. Good luck! Joe Kwok
