i am considering buying an r7 TP but i am not sure about what loft to buy.

I currently have a ignite 410 8.5* with a pro launch 65 s. and i hit it very low. my swing speed is about 110-115. I was thinking about a 9.5, but taylormade reccomended a 10.5*

what do you guys think?

thank you

kurt

One thing to consider in selecting the loft is the type ball flight you want to play most often. Then factor in the shaft you plan on playing and that shifting weight around with the TP version allows you to dynamically change the launch angle. I would suggest you talk with Joey or other knowledgable club tech.

I just got a 9.5 * with the Fuji six shaft and I am a low ball hitter. It is working a treat with the heavier weight at the back.

Really consider the shaft you use when deciding loft. If you go with Speeder, think about 10.5*.

Just curious guys.

I play a R510 TP Tour 9.5 with a Fuji SIX Stiff felx and am comfortable with it. With the R7 TP prices plunging and some good contacts (that lee :smile1: ), I'm thinking of trying a R7 TP now.

I'll want to stick to the SIX Stiff. What loft would be good. Some say the R7TP hit slower but I've learnt to manipulate launhc angle from adjusting tee height.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks.

Well I have owned a R510DF 10.5 and now have a Tour R7 in 10.5. Different shafts...which probably made some of the difference...but the R510DF hit much higher...

I would go with what taylormade recommended. U r obviously pretty consistant because you are ferris pgm. It's what they do. I went through the same fitting at a range in highland, michigan and they recommended a 7.5 Nuetral. It was cool, launch monitor and everything. I actually had better results at a lower swing speed too.

The R7 is a very low spin head. If you don't have the swing speed or launch angle go with the 10.5*.

Quit honestly I feel that the majority would be better off with more loft with the R7. You can always adjust the weights or the shaft.

I have an R510 TP and a tour R7 both 10.5* and the R7 is much lower hitting than the R 510.
