echoi1975
Hi guys, my dilemma is that i bought some clubs with weights somewhere in the shaft? I tried heating up the shaft at the point where i thought the weights were but they dont' come out? Should I be using a weighted rod to apply pressure to the weights so they free up once the heat breaks the bond? They are steel shafts thx, ec. Those are tip weights.

joey3108
They are ping cushin shafts. and i have feeling that they put tip weights either below or above the cushin thingie.. :( Do you what a cushin is? and where they put that thing? Cushin is a rubber or silicon part that fill w/ ball bearing around 14" from the but to reduce vibration. Cushin completely block the middle part of the shaft. That cushin thing is about 2 inch long. Ping rarely using a tip weight when they install their shaft. So most likely you are talking about cushin. The best way to remove this is by squired a little solvent from the but and use a hook to catch the rubber part and pull it out slowly.
