wmann
I have a set if cleveland irons that I just got (heads only) that are tour issue and I am looking to have them reshafted w/ 1 time pulls of aldila tgi-120 shafts from a set of 588p cleveland irons. The problem is this....It appears to me, someone who does no club work on there own, that the hosel depth is shorter that the original clubs. I say this because there is about an 1/8 of an inch gap between the ferrule and the hosel when I insert a shaft into the head. I would just replace the ferrules, but the heads seem to be a bit loose, and wiggle and slip off when inserted. Is there any chance that while both should be taper .355 that the shorter hosel is causing a problem? Does anyone have a suggestion or can you tell me how tight the fit should be? Do I need to trim 1/8 of an inch from the tip to make it snug or is that a bad idea? Any advise would be appreceated. Ps. I tried the shaft in a taylormade rac MB and it seemed tighter, but it also seemed to insert further....
