im very interested in hearing about these nippon shafts everyone is getting and hearing about the benefits of these over say the dynamic gold superlight or rifle lites???

thanks

Ive played DGs and Rifles, Nippon NS Pro 950 and 1050s --

I would think the DG SL would be lighter with similar feel as a DG.

Having stated the above:

The Nippons have a softer feel at impact than either DG or Rifles. Nippons quality control is touted as very high so you should have better consistency betweeen clubs. Flight with the 950s seem higher than Rifle/Flighted Rifle, Flight with the 1050s feels the same or slightly lower than Rifle/Flighted. I think the Nippons are easier on my elbow - haven't had elbow problems since switching to Nippons.

People will contest whether Nippons provide shock absorption - but they appear easier on the body and the feel is definitely softer as opposed to harsh with the DG. The Rifles just don't have the smooth feel of a Nippon.
