Sgt_Slaughter
Alright, here is my 2006 bag. It took me awhile to build this bag as I do not have the money to buy everything all at once. It was a work in progress. I doubt I will change much over the next few months except maybe get some wedges that will give me more spin. Thanks to everyone who I bought stuff from for this bag. Update: A Nike SQ is on the way. Will have the Fujikura Speeder 569 coming installed in the head. Pictures to follow. ENJOY!!!! pjpalmer
HEY, MIKE HOW IS THE ROSELAND GOLF COURSE IN WINDSOR ? THIS YEAR....... Edited January 2, 2006 by Sgt_Slaughter
Sgt_Slaughter
its actually really great. they keep the fairways nice and greens short. the only bad thing is that the bunkers arent great. the sand isnt soft, its hard. i play it a lot. there greens r hard to putt, theres lots of break and sme of the greens r uphill. nice course though sorry for crappy pictures. dont have digital camera yet
Sgt_Slaughter
BAG BEING UPDATED Pictures to come either February or early spring. Planned Changes: New Irons- Nike Blades 3 New wedges- Possibly TM Y-Cutters or Tour Box grooved Wedges New 5-wood- Possibly Ignite T-60 3i Utility/Hybrid club- Possibly Rescue Dual or Pro Combo Utility Edited January 2, 2006 by Sgt_Slaughter
golfernut78
good looking bag. i've got the taylormade rescue dual tp in 19* and 14* and the nike pro combo utility iron in 18* and 20*. i think they are both great clubs. the pro combo is just like an iron with a thick top plate and sole. great off the tee, easy off the deck. easier than a long iron in the rough. great control with shot shaping. the rescue dual tp is great too. very easy to hit and get up in the air. very very forgiving and easy to control. great for hitting out of the rough. the 18* pro combo is longer than the 19* rescue dual, but the rescue dual is much more consistent. either way great clubs. sly_sam
Good set-up, finally some pics. I know that the Nike blades are a really good feeling iron if you can hit them well, how do you like them? If anything I could suggest to you is to replace the 3 iron with something easier on you to hit. Try a utility iron or even a wood-like hybrid for a little more forgivness. Those utilities are great off the tee. Also, I like the shoes, I have a pair myself in Black with Grey.
Sgt_Slaughter
Thanks. I hit them once before the season ended. They were amazing feeling. For blades, they were pretty forgiving in my opinion. They gave me a nice little fade and felt awesome. I am going to replace the 3-iron with either a Taylormade Rescue Mid, or Nike Pro Combo Utility. The shoes are awesome. Very comfortable and don't hurt your feet after walking 18 holes or even 9 holes. I will try to get some better pics off the irons tomorrow. I will get better views of the 3 iron, 6 iron and a 9 iron picture and then a better view off them all together. sly_sam
I am going to replace the 3-iron with either a Taylormade Rescue Mid, or Nike Pro Combo Utility. Of the two choices, I'd for sure go with the Pro Combo Utility. It feels good, and it's like having a 3 iron, but more forgiving and it goes a little farther. It also helps that it has a litle more club face to work with.

I'm going to try and find the 22* loft.
sly_sam
Also give the Titleist 503.H a try. It's a good choice as it's got some offset, it has a beefy confident look at address, and unlike the Pro Combo utility it has a graphite shaft option, where the Pro Combo is steel only. Try that out for your 3 iron replacement, it's a popular choice on Tour. What distance do you hit your 3 iron? Try that out for your 3 iron replacement, it's a popular choice on Tour. What distance do you hit your 3 iron? I've looked at the 503.H. I was just unsure of how it would play. Maybe I will try and find both the Pro Combo Utility and a 503.H used on ebay and go from there. I can hit my 3-iron anywhere from 195-215. Depends how hard I swing and how I am swinging. I generally hit my 4 about 190-200. If i'm on a 200 yard par 3, i'll take 3-iron, but from 200 in the fairway I generally take 4.
sly_sam
The Titleist 503.H will go maybe a little higher than your 3 iron you have there. It'll also go a little farther because of the longer shaft and the fact that it's graphite, the design of the head also helps a bit too. The only thing that turned me off from the Pro Combo Utility was the fact that it doesn't have any option from steel. Shaft aside, both are good choices no doubt, but the design of the 503.H is a little more for forgiveness. Either way you go, by choosing a Utility iron your keeping the properties of a long iron and adding forgiveness. Using a wood like Hybrid will change how your 3 iron will play, similar to using a high lofted fairway wood (like replacing the 3 iron with a 7 wood before Hybrids were designed). I'll let you know what I end up getting. Probably the 503.H with the Aldila NV-stiff.

Sgt_Slaughter
Sweet choice, that 503.H won't let you down. I hope it doesn't. Or it will hit the bench very fast. I don't think it will. Iknow I'll have a lot of use for it. Long par 3s, short par 4s, second shots into par 5s. I will post a review after i hit it. Leftysviewuk
Golf Ball Primary: Titleist NXT Tour Nice bag. If you like the NXT tour as your primary ball, why don't you try the Pinnacle Exception? Both are made by Achusnet and I personally find the exception slightly softer. They are meant to be the same ball............ :tsg_smilie_money3:

sly_sam
Close to zero is nothing. I'm used to expereinceing -15, -25, and even -40 at times. It can get extremely cold. As for the 503.H, I know it'll be easier to hit then your Nike Blade 3 iron. Edited February 22, 2006 by sly_sam
