springbok2712
I'm looking for advice on a new driver, the three optins i'm contemplating are: Nakashima NP-1 420. Tourstage X-Drive 405. Cleveland Launcher Comp. I curently play a TM R7 TP with a stiff 757 in it, ss ~105mph. Any info on them would be gratefully accepted. slicktry
Comp all the way!!!! But, I think it is worth checking out Ashton Golf's X1. It is 460 CC, beta Titanium, .335 hosel and sits dead square. They have quite an informing website, including tolerances etc. oh yeah, it is only $169!! I personally plan to play my 9.5 comp, the Ashton X-1 and a 510 tp. I gotta feeling though that the Comp will be the main QB! easirois
I was checking out the Ashton website...looks pretty good..and they're a Canadian company to boot.. Does anyone esle have an opinion or experience with this driver? I saw that they are introducing a 415cc version with no screws but 5 diff version instead....light, heavy, draw, neutral, and fade. - news release sectin of their website. Breal
You know in my opinion, they are all good drivers, but in golf it is well known that you get what you pay for. And IMO if you have the $ and its not a issue the X-drive would be the key for shaft options and use of superior metals and terrific quality control with there products. The X-drive definitely cost more but you get the performance that the extra money you put out for it. The other two are great driver the comp is a rising star, but if $ is not the issue pay the extra for the high quality. And also to add as what I have experienced from the J33 driver, if the J33 is as good as it is just imagine how the X-drive is going to be. Wow!!! golfpro57
The Nakashima 420 is an awesome club, I've built a few and the Fuji shaft should make it even better, but they also have a new 460 due out soon that really looks good in pics.
