Posted February 1, 200520 yr comment_75692 I just read an article from a guy, I don't remember the name, not even the link I would like to give you, saying that, as much the head speed increases, the less the sw should be. But saying also that, in the meantime, the overall weight of the club should be higher. The guy was saying that for a swing speed around 100mph, C7 is a good sw, C5 the ideal one, instead of D2, with an increased overall weight of the club. Sounds right to you? Somebody could explain? Thanx.
February 1, 200520 yr comment_75700 Might be correct in a way but for me when the SW gets less than d3ish I can't feel the club at all and my accuracy suffers even more. What was his basis for the lower swingweight being better?
February 1, 200520 yr Author comment_75703 What was his basis for the lower swingweight being better? I don't remember exactly, that's why I will try to put the link as soon as I can find it. Will be better for understanding.
February 1, 200520 yr Author comment_75710 As promised, I have the link: http://www.flagstick.com/august2001/techta..._august2001.htm
February 1, 200520 yr comment_75717 according to the article the big hitters should be using a driver of around C0? He makes a few points that seem valid however. I may have to tinker with my standy clubs and swing weight them all in the C range to see what happens. J
