February 18, 200520 yr i have both coming in 15*.....has anyone tried both, if so how do they compare? ie length, ball flight, forgiveness
February 18, 200520 yr Bernard, I have played both clubs at one time or another and would say the NP-99 will be easier to hit. It will be easier to get airborne and is slightly more forgiving than the 970. However, the 970 will feel more solid and will be more workable. Probably the closest thing to an old persimmon fairway wood, in that respect. The 99 may be longer, but it really all depends on the shaft selection. I hope this helps. Paul
