joey3108
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...7136788864&rd=1 I'm almost 99% sure that this is one of my early refinish work. The T stamp in the bottom of the hosel is my marking to make sure that i didn't make a mistakes of who's putter was that one. It's been a while ( 2-3 years ago at least ), so it's hard for me to pull the work order from the original owner. But if i have to, i'm sure i can find it. I've refinished around 400 - 500 putters back then. So, please don't get fool by this type of sale. THX! Joe

joey3108
Here is the one i did that were almost at the same time w/ that one. Except that one has a gold line and this one has a copper line. If he show the picture from the back clearly, i'm sure i can tell more. I started this type of finish before platinum came out in the market. He might got fool also from the guy who sold it to him, so we don't know who to blame here. BTW, The one without a stamping on the bottom of the hosel, means was my own putter. I never did more than 26 putters at one time, because A -Z is only 26 letters and it's way to much to handle in one batch. I'm sure the old GEA members remember this. jack0428
Joe, Do you still do refinish work on TeL3? I have one with slight rusting, was thinking about sending it back to Titleist for a refinish, but hope can have the master do it instead like the one I see in the above picture.
agoodgolfer
I'm trying to decide if I want to buy MY old putter back... Like Joe, I am 99% certain that Joe refinished that putter for me about 3 years ago. He did a newport and a Santa Fe during that run, then did 2 del mars for me during his black oxide run. I'm searching through my old pics as we speak to try and find the ones I used when I sold it. I'm not a scotty collector so I don't claim to know more then the average Joe, but I have never seen the factory stamp a tour putter under the hosel. My guess is the ebayer is a user of one of these forums and could clear it up. He's sold everything from mid rescues with fujis to import tourstage wedges. He was probably lied to when he purchased the putter. Chris

Scotty never stamp anything under the hosel, the only time you'll see a stamp under the hosel is when the putter was refinished by Titleist (NOT Scotty), and it would be in the original finish for that particular putter. He might get confused by the T stamp and assumed "T" stands for TOUR. :-D

I stop doing putter refinishing w/ satin nickel finish long time ago. I can't handle the amount of detail work that i have to do w/ putters. Always mess up my shoulder and fingers after a batch and Agoodgolfer always know when to take me out to the course and rip me off. :surprize: :money: I still do now and then if it not require a subcontracttor, Basically anything i can do in house...i'll still do it. I have no problem w/ what you said, I'm just saying all this base on my experiences and what i know w/ refinish job from my end. I used a lot of Gold on the line under the sole and most Cameron/titliest/studios are using their copper color . I never seen they put gold on that line. And a someone saying also, w/ that style putter (TEi3 ), I never seen studio refinish it other than original gun metal finish, especially 2 years ago. As far as i know Only Kevin Colbert and I who does refinish putter back then w/ Nickel finish on the older version TEi3. Looking of the color on the stamping, It look like one of my work and I do still have that gold paint in my shop. Anyway, Good luck! Joe  ps: I hope you understand, I did this base on my past bad experiences people using my refinish job and claimed it as a tour issue. I even cought that guy red handed for that and he almost got in trouble from the buyer who are a big collector.

Otherwise, base on your words alone, a regular Joe might believe or might not believe. Peace :D
joey3108
If I were you I would definitely get authenticated, It's more money on your end if that is what it is. You could send it to me and i can verify it for you but in this case it's more benefit for you if you get it from the man himself. As of me, I only try to help others, I didn't meant any harm. I only say base on what i did and i know. One more thing, The white lining by the insert and holes on the back, I used a shinier silicon than what cameron used. I'm not sure through time it will get duller or not. And the insert is actually still a copper insert w/ nickel plating on top of it. So if you push the silicon or took one of the dot on the back, you can tell it's copper or not. Hope the best for you! Joe
agoodgolfer
rt2566, If thats the case, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. We are just looking at for TSG members as a whole. It looks very similar to those putters Joe refinished and doesn't bare the standard tour markings. I'm not sure what your time restrants are, but your resale value will greatly increase if you send it into the studio. Might be worth the wait. rt2566
Gents, Thanks for all the interest..I'm not going to end the auction now , and create more doubt in everyones mind about this club. I do understand the concern about this being a true tour putter. BUT like I stated, it was given to when I was a contestant at the Michalob Championship. It's hard for me to beleive that this would not be legit. Since, I myself used the putter, and then I finally sent it to Titleist to be re-finish. I quote "I SENT IT TO THE STUDIO, NOT TO JOE," to be re-finish. And then begun using it again until now. So end the confusion... I have seen many fakes in my golfing days in reguards to cameron putter. Furthermore, I have consulted several cameron collectors prior to listing my item. thanks again for the concern.. "My guess is the ebayer is a user of one of these forums and could clear it up. He's sold everything from mid rescues with fujis to import tourstage wedges. He was probably lied to when he purchased the putter. " I beleive this is the beautiful USA, and people are innocent till proven guilty.. And If you ASSUME, it makes and ASS out of U and not ME. Next time, post a question about an auction, and see if the sellers responds. I have responded to many e-mails about this putter, NEXT time ask the question, and see if you get a responce.. Cheers
63soul
".. And If you ASSUME, it makes and ASS out of U and not ME." Cheers It wouldn't make you look guilty in any way, IF you were able to produce authentication. The only thing it would do is increase your resale value. Doesn't seem like a legitimate reason to keep the auction up to me. I don't know why you decided to pick on me. I voiced my concerns, and followed them up with an apology. Go back to folding sweaters and driving the range picker. Some day you might move up from assistant. Until then continue to sell your PUD items and refinished putters on ebay to make ends meet. Sincerely, ASS
Guest
No doubt......i dont think its tour .....no tour markings, no COA until it has a COA i call out BS....plus a refinish by Titleist vs the cameron custom shop makes it worth less anyways.......99 percent of the finishes on the teryllium inserts like that have a T or tour somewhere on it from what i have seen......if u had a COA it would make a difference but i promise you its not an "A" COA........until then good luck i think it is def not tour.....
