Doug28450
When I get fitted for irons I get them +1 inch and 3 degrees upright as measured from a 61 degree five iron. I'm getting ready to replace my wedges. Should I order the wedges +1 inch and 3 degrees upright? Or, do you think that with the wedges the extra shaft length and upright lie is not that critical and standard wedges will work just as well? The best person to answer would be the guy who fit you into those specs. Wedges are often times flatter than the rest of the set, but not always. It depends on how you swing and how you are going to use the particular wedge...(ie a full swing GW vs. flop shots etc.) Ask your fitter, and make sure that you're fit for the correct bounce as well as length lie...it just as important.
