matchplay
Given all the drivers that have come after these two, the prices have come done considerably. I was just wondering. Given the opportunity to own either of them in the loft you want, which would you choose? And why?
chainsaw
Tough call but I have a 510 DF right now, last two drivers were 300's and I have to give the nod to the 300's. I've only owned 8 deg's in the 300 but I would think a 9.5 would be a machine.

matchplay
chocolateBoy You say that even though you have a 510?
chainsaw
Eventhough it's old technology I'd pimp the 300. It's just a monster.
ChocolateBoy
ironic that i have the 510 and am definitely happy wiht it but ive always wanted the holy grail after hitting it once
wmann
I have a pair on the 300 tours 9.5 and just bought a 300 tour 8 as well as a r500 8.5 to see if they can move either 9.5 out of the starting line up.....
HoMStYLz
didnt care for the r510 that much. like the r7tp, love my r5tp's, but id hafta say holy grail, love the clean & simple look, have been thinking about putting it in play but id hate to waste a shaft for nothing. still a few guys on tour that have the holy pup in their bag
BostonHack
DF definitely, then 300 tour and lastly R7...
dakotacomm
9.5º 300 TOUR hands down. Length and accuracy with the 300 tour is fantastic. Great size head, and easy to work. Greg
GreaseMan
Nothing..... I repeat nothing, feels as good as the 300 Tour. It is plenty foregiving. That being said it will finally be replaced by the Blade x460. It has better numbers for me. Kevin
rrordona
I currently have both a 300 tour in 9.5* and a 510TP in 9.5*. Tough call for sure. What gets me is the shape. It just looks good at address. As for forgiveness in my experience, the 510 get it by just a hair. My 300 has a NV and my 510 has my shaft of choice a GD Ys6 in SX flex. The 510 beats it by 5-10 yards easily, but I think its primarily due to the GD fitting my swing better. It wasn't easy changing, but I do take the 300 out every so often. matchplay
rrordona, Do both clubs launch the ball about the same as far as loft? Thanks
rrordona
matchplay- My 300 launches lower by a little. Hard to compare as the shafts have such different characteristics. I had to "try" a little more to get the NV to load, which is why I really like the YS6. They both peak approximately the same.

PutterPing
What's a reasonable price to pay for this particular driver on eBay? If I won I'd keep the Fujikura 757 Stiff shaft in it at the moment. I've already placed a couple of bids under my eBay ID of titleist1979, and I noticed a bid from HoMStYLz too. As soon as I have to pay over AUD$250 or more for an item from overseas, then it's subject to a whole heap of import duties when the item arrives in Australia. So I guess I wouldn't want to pay any more than about US$180. I only found out about the 300 Tour drivers for the first time through this post, but I sure like what I see. This eBay auction ends in about 23 hours time - thanks for any assistance. :money: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...7147639273&rd=
