...when alll the caddies wear sneakers & running shoes ????

Defies the prupose really.

So there really isn't any point of moaning about spike marks when these asshole caddies leave big heel marks in your line!

Is it all just a big scam to charge us more money for a pair of $140 that technically we don't need ????

Umm....I don't think the caddies are trying to propel the ball 300+ yards off the tee or hitting shots from uphill, downhill, or side-hill lies.

You can get away with sneakers and running shoes when all you have to do is walk, tend the pin, rake the bunker, and say "I like that club." When you actually have to play (especially in rain or early in the AM) golf shoes do come in handy. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Spikeless golf shoes = pair of sneakers.

In june and July, a plastic spike offers no more grip than a running shoe sole.

Given in the winter you need spikes but the black widows are crap in the muddy wet conditions and most clubs have banned the traditional tungsten metal spike.

I'm replacing all my plastic crap for tungsten and f*** them alll !!!! :finger:

i think they wear golf shoes because they are playing golf. i think.

you wouldnt wear ice skates to a football game.

and any type of spikes chews up the greens when they are a little wet.

and i bet the metal spikes have been banned mroe for safety reasons.

may as well do it in comfort.. the way I see it the Pros get paid to wear golf shoes, caddies don't and if Woods didn't get a bean off Nike to wear their shoes he'd be sporting a pair of New Balance runners... I think these caddies are onto something, after all, I carry my bag around like they do.

I'll give a on-course report when I 'sneak' onto the course at the weekend with my sneakers.

You need some more comfortable golf shoes....they do exists!!! Honestly though, if you feel a pair of sneakers is more comfortable than golf shoes then by all means play with sneakers. When the game is on the line I definetly need golf shoes for the added grip and stability.

If your golf shoes dont offer any more traction then your running shows you're wearing the wrong shoes.

Besides, many pros still use metal spikes.

yea i do think so :nos**t: wether or not he gets paid they are going to where golf shoes, thats why they invented them.....for GOLF

two things

if you are wearing nice slacks and want to wear a pair of shoes that fit the style your need golf shoes golfing in smooth leather soled dress shoes would be hell

second my golf shoes for normal days on the course are just as comfortable as any pair of tennis shoes i own
