NakedDave
Anyone out there know much about the older model Honma graphite iron shafts, their respective specs and exactly how they compare in stiffness to other graphite iron shafts on the market? Thanks in advance.
xxio
There are tons of different Honma graphite irons shafts. There were the famous 1/2/3/4/5 star titanium carbon shafts, I have had boron-graphite shafts that came in different "levels" (and different colors) as well. My Honmas were mostly from the early to mid/late 90's. This was before recievership. The ones I had/have generally I have found they play a full flex weak, the shafts are in the high 80's-low90's range. The Titanium Carbon ones are really good. If you get the correct flex dispersion will be almost as good as steel. The thing I find is they build them at Japanese lengths and then maintain the "balance" by using really heavy heads. I am in the process of reshafting a set of PP727s with TX Tours.
