i just bought a TM r510 on ebay. He claims its an unmarked TP. The pics show that it has a deep face, but it has no TP logo. but doesnt a DF model have to be a tour model? I did research and found out that the serial is 36VCH5(This driver was actually sold twice b4 it got into this guys hands, and he sold it again). I just wanna know if this is actually a TP model or a DF model of the r510?

Those are the pics of the driver. The face height looks like a DF.

Does it have an underlined loft on the sole?

"TITANIUM" on the toe?

If it has those two items, it is a DF. Without those two items, it still may be a DF, but a rare one and possible refinished.

Call TaylorMade and give them the serial number. It looks like a retail model serial number to me. Almost all Titanium toed, half loft underlined DF's have no serial number. Tour serials start with a "T".

Probably is a refinished head, that is why he said unmarked tp.

I was also looking at that but wasnt quite sure what model it was. Let us know how it turns out. you may have bought a very rare DF at a low price! :laugh:

I went ahead and called Taylor made and they told me it was just a regular TM r510 TP. He said it was probably refinished. Is 193.61 a good deal for this club? Its got a pretty good shaft i assume. What do u guys think?

no, you can get brand new r540xd TP heads for 150 on ebay & brand new r580xd TP heads for 199, dont waste your money & search ebay for one. if you cant find one ill help you get one, just email me or send a PM & ill find you something close to new in a tour head for around that price.

But isnt the R510TP head just as long as the XD TP's?

thnx homs, but i already paid for the 510. anyways, i like smaller head of the 510. i have the 580, and dont really like the big head.

btw, nice set homs, lol, i cant afford those clubs, atleast not until I grad and get a job..... then im gonna go crazy.....

How does the 510tp compare to the 580xd.......feel wise.
