JHilg
Hey all. Kinda new here. I searched, but didn't find what I was looking for. Any help is much appreciated. First question, are the Ion Diamanas the same shaft as the standard US silver version?? I've hit the US version, and really like it, but would love to have the Ion version. Same shaft with a new look, or is the shaft different in some way??? Second question, is the Ion version only available in 63, 73, and 83 versions???? I'm looking to get a 93, but I've yet to find anyone that has the Ion version in 93. And, the Japanese MR website only shows those 3. Am I getting all geared up for a shaft that doesn't exist??? Last question, has anyone tried a Diamana in a hybrid??? I see that the new Rescue Dual TPs coming out are going to be using a "Diamana Hybrid" shaft. Anyone know what is different with that shaft or any info on it??? Or if not, has anyone used the standard Diamana in a hybrid, and what was the result??? Again, thanks for the help. I've been a lurker here for a while, but just recently joined. Great site, lots of good info. Thanks for the help. Hilg

pingwrx
I was told they're the same, except because of the Ion plating they weigh a few grams heavier. I have an Ion 63 and US version 73 and they seem to perform in similar way....very nicely.
JHilg
Ok, one down. Thanks WRX. Now, does anyone know if they come in any other weights besides the 63-73-83 that I see everywhere??? And what about hybrid use, or info on the new "Diamana Hybrid" shaft. Anyone know those two??? Hilg
