xxio
I plan to decrease the lofts on my X blades by 2 degrees across the board to get better distance gaps with my wedges that are coming in. Aside from increasing bounce and raising ballflight what else will it do? Increase bounce=less dig (might be good on the X blades) I have been told it will also "lessen the offset" a little??? How will it affect lie angles? Thanks in advance.
kenfuji
not sure about the offset. but when changing the loft you alway need to check the lie also. any skilled bender can usually get it right with one bend without changing the lie, but the lie angle should be checked after the inital 2* bend and loft needs to be checked again after the lie is fine tuned if needed until both specs met the requirements. You got pretty much everything in the button. No effect what so ever on the lie if the guy who bend them didn't change them. Don't worry to much! Number on the loft is only number... if you got everything on the right number of yardage you are looking for...that should give you a better distance control. Do it if you do feel you need them. You can always bend them again till you got the right. Just make sure the guy who bend them know what he is doing. Good luck! xxio
Joey, thank you. Our friend (Williy) is having a slight problem. He has a couple of new iron sets he is trying to dial in right now but is somehow playing his best with his guest set. A set of 10 year old graphite shafted Honma CBs. I myself have found I score better with blades than with CBs. That is why I'm going back to the Xblades.

xxio
I know the funny thing about it he bought a lot of new things but it ended up being a really old set that works out. Goes to show that in irons technology is not that big a deal compared to having something that fits you.
