randagios
I am re-shafting an FT-3 driver either with a Diamana 63 or a Speeder 569. I have already tested the Diamana 63 in regular flex on other drivers and it's quite good for my swing. Any advice? Thanks.
Mudweasel
I would be interested in anyones comparison of these two as well..... :smile1:
joey3108
I can't give you guys any advice what shaft to play with because i don't have enough detail info on your swing and game. I can only give a little bit of the shaft charracter. The Diamana feel and play softer than the 569, they diamana hit the ball slightly lower trajectory on the S and X felx and about the same on the R flex. So Diamana flex point gets lower on the more flexible one. Diamana 63 obviously are a heavier shaft, slightly lower torque but due to the soft tip charracter, it doesn't seems tighter feel. Maybe a little but not by much at all. Over all is pretty similar except weight and feel. Good luck! Joe BTW, Any shaft will be stiffer about 3/4 flex on FT3 driver and who ever work on this club, he better be really good at it and have lots of patient. randagios
Dear Mr. Kwok, Thanks for your answer. It was very helpful. I wonder where do you have your office in order to be custom fitted by you and how I could contact you. P.S.: How would you trim a Fuji Tour Platform 26.3 in a Taylor Made R5 3 fairway wood. randagios
Compared with the 26.3 in same flex, the 569 is slightly softer in the tip and a bit firmer in the butt, isn't it?
Eveleth
Joe BTW' date=' Any shaft will be stiffer about 3/4 flex on FT3 driver and who ever work on this club, he better be really good at it and have lots of patient.[/[/b']quote] Joe speaks the truth, I had my local Pro Shop do a re-shaft on my FT-3 Tour and the guy partially melted the transition line between the titanium face and the composite body, he also damaged the area around the hosel. Long story short, we had to order a new Driver from Callaway, thank goodness it only took a week to come in. So make sure the person doing the re-shaft knows what the hell they're doing. IIRC in the previous iterations of the X Drive I think Toshi's shaft was the "Type 7" which was Tourstage's version of the 757? I find the TXD 65 S flex a tad soft for me in my X Drive 390. That is why I'm hoping the TXD 70 in X flex might be just right. Most TS/XDrive shafts I have tried seem to play soft. Maybe TS puts an "S" on the R flex from the shaft manufacturer. I hope they put a "X" on the S :smile1:

Honestly I'm not to familiar anymore w/ TS shafts and club anymore like i used to and I don't have that many of them come to my shop for repair or reshaft. xxio
Couldn't get feedback on any boards. I decided to go cheap retail instead. I got a Cobra 400SZ Tour and another Bett instead.
