Rifle shafts versus NS Pro

Recommended Posts

 Guys for those of you who have used both the NS Pro shafts and the Rifle shafts, how do they compare?

IMHO rifle shafts have very little feel in them, with little kick. the best way i can describe rifle is that it stays with you at all times. distance is average with standard rifles and i seem to get a very high ball flight.

as far as the nippons go, they are much lighter with ALOT more feel. i get the feeling of a kick through the impact zone......but surprizing with little ballooning effect. distance is great with these as well as the dispersion.

all in all i would have to say i MUCH prefer the nippon shafts and over the last year have had great success with them. currently im trying the px shafts which are nice, but i dont reckon it will be long before i change back to the ns pros!

Prior to last year, I played Titleist DCI 762's with TFR 5.0 flex. Last spring I switched to a set of Scratch proto CB's with PX 5.0's. By late summer I was playing a set of Scratch proto Tour Blades with NS Pro 1050 S flex. Like the NS Pro's the best, the TFR's the least (kind of dead by comparison). The PX are a very different feel and give a nice flat trajectory but are a little more demanding. Thinking about putting NS Pro 850's or the new TT M80's in a set of Scratch 2005 CB's.

ns pro are a great shaft ive had great success with my 850s.... currently im playing pxs but am finding them too demanding as im more of a swinger! so i went today and got one of the new 750 wraps installed in my 9 iron and found they had identical feel to the 850s, only difference was distance.......i can HONESTLY say that the 750 was one full club longer. i was considering the change over until i heard the price of them! i near swollowed my tongue lol! expensive. but all in all i think the nippon ns pro series are super for feel, distance and accuracy
